The given bar chart reveal the proportion of research students studying six computer science subjects at

a US university by genders with in the year of 2011. The data collection was in terms of the numbers of
research students and it is categorized into linguistics, psychology, natural sciences, engineering,
programming, mathematics. Overall, the most popular subject for Males was psychology, natural
sciences, mathematics, but was only natural sciences for Females over the date surveyed.

In particular, as it is evident from the bar chart, as for Males, the highest figures were for Psychology,
Natural sciences, Mathematics illustrated by 200 students, each. This rate is then followed immediately
by that for Engineering, Programming demonstrated by 150 students. Eventually, the statistics for
Linguistics endured the lowest position, taking a share of 80 students.

On the other hand, concerning Females, these figure underwent certain differences. First, the top
position belongs to the figure for Natural sciences, visualized by 200 students, as much as that for Males.
Second, Females seem to dominate in the figure for Linguistics by 120 students; however, the statistics
for Psychology, Engineering, Programming, Mathematics were inferior to those for Males by 175
students, 90 students, 75 students, 40 students, orderly. Third, the rate for Mathematics was 160
students lower than that for Males, suffering the lowest position.

Generally, the most impressive gap between the two genders was witnessed in the rates for
Mathematics.
