1 PROJECT DESCRIPTION
1.1 Introduction
The Habshan & Bab Gas Complex is a set of gas processing facilities operated by ADNOC
Gas Processing (AGP) and located approximately 140km southwest of the city of Abu Dhabi.
The first plant in the complex was commissioned almost four decades ago. Since then, several
other plants were added to the complex making it one of the largest gas processing facilities in
the world.
In order to ensure the continued viability of Habshan and Bab Gas Complex, ADNOC Gas
Processing regularly reviews the installed equipment and systems, and carries out necessary
refurbishments, upgrades, replacements and additions to ensure that the facilities can be
operated in a safe, sustainable and efficient manner. This project is a continuation of these
efforts.

Visual inspection and verification of existing Telecom facilities (CCTV cameras, ACS
devices & Fibre Optic Cabinets) related to the PROJECT scope.
Inspection and verification of the Fibre Optic Tie-ins at SS-3 for extending Security LAN
network from NMCR.
Visit SS-3 and identify locations and space for the following
5. Network Cabinet
Verify the existing power supply to the Telecom Cabinet (Breaker rating, cable size)
To identify from which DB the existing Telecom Cabinet power supply is fed and identify
spare feeders in the same DB if possible. Also identify space to install new breakers in the
DB if required.
Identify spare feeders in the existing UPS/Non-UPS DB’s to feed the new Plant CCTV
Note down the name plate details of Electrical panels like UPS, DB’s, etc. where tie-in to
be done.
Check for spare slot for cable entry in the DB’s/ UPS Panel

It was observed that in order to ensure that front and rear side of each cabinet /panel in
SS-3 is within camera viewing angle, the total quantity of cameras required to meet the
required coverage is as detailed below.
In addition, in order to ensure that each critical building entry/exit is monitored, the total
quantity of outdoor cameras required to meet the required coverage is as detailed below.
It was noted that personnel entry doors (3 Nos.) are unmanaged (i.e. no access control
available) and there is enough space available for installation of controlled door assembly
(including indoor card reader, exit push button, emergency break glass unit, door contacts,
electromagnetic locks).
It was observed that as other equipment doors-double leaf (1 No.) are unmanaged (i.e. no
access control available), uncontrolled door assembly (i.e. door contact) shall be provided
as per project scope.
The battery room for SS-3 is inside the switchgear room and no separate door contacts
shall be provided for the same.
It was observed that there is enough space for installation of new wall mounted junction
box of size 500 x 500 x 250mm (W x H x D) for new ACS controller required at SS-3.
Existing Fire & safety panel is available in air lock room of SS-3. Required ACS interface
with Fire Alarm system shall be considered as part of project scope.
It was observed that there is no Fibre Optic Cabinet in SS-3 at present but the site
informed that new Fibre Optic Cabinet shall be installed as part of ongoing project and
details shall be shared with the Consultant.
It was noted that there is enough space for installation of new wall mounted network
cabinet of size 700 x 600 x 600mm (W x H x D) which shall house the new patch panels
and access switch required as part of this project.
New GI conduits and existing trays where available, shall be used to route the ACS &
CCTV system cables inside SS-3.
