AND PRIVATE INSTITUTES OF ASSAM FOR THE SESSION 2024 'n pursuance of the Assam Gazette Notification NoMER.206054/786, dated 07-11-2023, Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences is conducting an Entrance Examination on 23-06- 2024 for selecton of candidates for admission into Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharm) and Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) Courses in both the Govt. and Private institutes of Assam for the session 2024 Accordingly, applications are invited from the canddiates for Pharmacy Entrance Examination, 2024 for selection of candidates for admission into Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharm) and Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) courses. Online Application Forms shall be available on the University website: wnmwssuhs.in from 14-05-2024 to 28-05-2024. The online application form must be filed up after ‘carefully going through the instructions given along with the form. The requisite entrance examination fee (non-refundable) shall have to be aid by the candidates only in online mode through the payment gateway available in the University website (Fee Collect). There shall be 1 (one) paper consisting of 100 objective type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) for English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics. Questions will be of HS (10+2) Science standard. Distribution of marks will be: English - 25 Marks, Physics - 25 marks, Chemistry - 25 marks, Biology or Mathematics - 25 marks. 5. Merit shall be prepared based on the total marks obtained by each candidate in all the subjects i.e. English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics. The marks obtained by each candidate in each subject shall also be shown in the said list. If two or more candidates secure the same marks in the Entrance Examination, the inter- ‘se merit of such candidates shall be determined in order of preference as follows: a. Candidate securing more marks in Biology and/or Mathematics in Entrance Examination, Candidates securing more marks in Chemistry in Entrance Examination Candidates securing more marks in Physics in Entrance Examination Candidates securing more marks in English in Entrance Examination eaog If it further tallies then marks obtained in Biology and / or Mathematics, then Chemistry, then Physics, then English of qualifying examination shall be considered at the time of counselling 6. The minimum qualifying criterialcut off score in the Entrance Examination of Pharmacy (D.Pharm and B.Pharm) Course will be as follows: a. General (UR/EWS) - 50" Percentile b. SC/ST/OBC ~ 40" Percentile c. UR-PWD- 45" Percentile 7. If seats remain vacant, the minimum percentile will be reassessed by Govt. of Assam/ Directorate of Medical Education, Assam before second counselling. werThe ligibility criteria for appearing in the entrance test and for admissi and B.Pharm Courses are as follows: 1. Applicant must be a citizen of India, 2. Candidate must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) Science or Equivalent Examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology and/or Mathematics from recognized Board/Council/University without grace marks. However, the students passing 10+2 qualification from non - formal and non - class rooms based schooling such as National Institute of Open Schooling, open school system of States etc. shall not be eligible for admission to B.Pharm Course. 3. Candidate must be a minimum of 17 years on 31% December of the year in which admission is sought. Reservation of seat: There shall be reservation of seats for SC/ST(P)/ST(H)/OBC/MOBC/TGLIEX- TGL/EWS/PwD (Divyang) category from the available seats as per Govt norms. However, the distribution and reservation of seats including admission shall be notified by Directorate of Medical Education, Assam in due course of time. Examination Fees: non-refundable examination fee of Rs.700/- (Rupees seven hundred) only for D.Pharm course and Rs.1800/- (Rupees one thousand five hundred) only for B.Pharm course or Rs.2000/- (Rupees two thousand) only for both D.Pharm and B.Pharm courses is required to be paid by General category candidates and Rs.550/- (Rupees five hundred fifty) only for D.Pharm course or Rs.1200/- (Rupees one thousand two hundred) only for B.Pharm course or Rs.1600/- (Rupees one thousand six hundred) only for both D.Pharm and B.Pharm courses is required to be paid by SC/ ST / EWS! OBC (NCLYMOBC etc. category candidates through the Payment gateway available on online application page and University website [www.ssuhs.in > Fee Collect > Student Category > Entrance Examination Fee > Pharmacy]. Above Examination fee is exempted for Divyang (PwD) category of candidates having disability of 40% and above. IMPORTANT: It is the responsibility of the applicant to furnish all information correctly. Any information given by the applicant if found to be false or any ineligibility criteria detected at any stage later on shall make hinvher liable to be disqualified from the Entrance Examination with all its associated consequences. A candidate who desires to be considered under reserve category shall have to furnish ae original certificate of the concerned category from the Competent Authority at the time of Counselling. ‘A candidate applying under PwD (Divyang) Category will have to produce applicable Certificate from the State Level Medical Board/District Level Medical Board as constituted in persuance of Social Welfare Departments Notification No. SWD. 181/96/75 dated 21-06-1990.As the form is to be submitted online, the candidates are not required to send any document to the University. All necessary verification/scrutiny of the related documents of the candidates regarding eligibility, reservation etc. will be done at the time of counselling by the concerned authority.
