Steps by government In order to promote nutrition among children, pregnant women, and nursing moms, Indian Government has established the POSHAN Abhiyaan in 2017.It is also with the view to attaining the second Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), which is to eradicate hunger and achieve food security and enhanced nutrition. The Anganwadi Services, POSHAN Abhiyan, Scheme for Adolescent Girls, and National Creche Scheme were combined to create the awareness programmes about malnutrition . For the provision for child nutrition scheme like Saksham Anganwadi and Mission POSHAN 2.0 has been launched. For the vision of “swasth bharat”, Indian government has organized different activities to increase awareness about nutrition at foundational level through camps, by outreach programmes, awareness drives which are commonly targeted at women, adolescent ad children under the age 6.
