Abortion Pro-Choice: We agree with the big idea of abortion being legalized here in the Philippines because:

 MAIN POINT: we agree with legalizing abortion here in the philippines because we believe that it is healthcare, and we
also believe that women should have the right to choose on what to do with their own bodies.
 Having an unplanned and unwanted pregnancy could bring massive consequences that could lead to suffering of both
the mother and the child. be it financial, mental.
 Having limited resources and not enough support like money to raise a child can put the mother in unnecessary stress
 Not having access to safe abortion lead to unsafe abortions that can cause harmful effects on the health of mothers
 “Lack of access to safe, timely, affordable, and respectful abortion care is a critical public health and human rights issue,”
said WHO.
• according TO THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION “Unsafe abortion is a leading – but preventable – cause of maternal
deaths and morbidities. It can lead to physical and mental health complications and social and financial burdens for women.
“ they believe that by making abortion safe and legal, maiwasan ang risks and harms associated with unsafe abortions, such
as maternal deaths and health complications.
 OVERPOPULATION: Abortion can prevent overpopulation, it can lessen the numbers of children in the streets suffering
from child labor due to poverty

if gina ingon nila na murder sa baby:

• the fetus is almost continuously asleep and unconscious due to endogenous sedation ACCORDING TO: Hugo Lagercrantz;
swedish pediatrician. A fetus isn't even a living thing yet.

how about using contraceptives? condoms?

• contraceptives are not a 100% effective. even tung married couples na naga use ug contraceptives kay magka unwanted or
unplanned pregnancy gihapon.
contraceptives may fail, or may not be used consistently or correctly, which is why safe and legal abortion access remains
crucial for those who need it.

what if they’re too POOR to raise the kid?

• so given naman gid na nga kailangan mag work ug multiple jobs ang father so ang mabilin lang sa bata kay ang mother.
and luoy kaayo ang baby and mother kay diri na musulod ang Postpartum Depression sa mama. Postpartum depression can
make it hard for a mother to care for herself and bond with her baby, while the baby may struggle with emotional
development and bonding if the mother is emotionally unavailable.

what about the rights of the baby to live?

• The baby is not yet fully developed to begin with, wala pa na born. Still naa japon right ang woman na ipaabort, kay iyaha
man gihapon ng lawas and kinabuhi. It should be her choice to begin with what to do with her body.

what if ipa adopt nalang ang bata? dswd??

• most kids nga maadto there are still suffering kay wala silay proper support na madawat, they can be victims to child
neglect or in much worse case scenario ma victimized sila by child labor and child abuse. According to Antoine Deliege, the
Chief Child Protection of Unicef, those children are more likely to be unemployed, enter in prostitution, get a criminal record
or be a victim of human trafficking.

what if dili nalang mag practice ug sex?!? or practice safe sex

• edi mas maayo but dili man sad gud nato na ma stop ang mga tao from having sex, people are still gonna do it. so why not
legalize it to ensure the women's health? kay whether we like it or not, naa gihapon mga naga take ug unsafe abortion due
to lack of access to safe and respectful abortion care, and if magpadayon ni, it could cause health complications like
infection, hemorrhage, or injury to reproductive organs that could lead to infertily or death
