Please check the enclosed documents and the following information carefully and contact
us urgently if you have any queries.
The following are enclosed.
 Statement of Fact/proposal form containing the details you provided of yourself, your
vehicle and any other drivers. It is essential that all questions are answered fully and
correctly – if any amendments are needed please tell us urgently. Any changes may alter
the terms of the insurance, which are based on the details shown. If anything is incorrect or
incomplete and you do not tell us, you may not be covered in the event of a claim.
 Policy schedule – this shows important details of your cover, including such things as
excesses and security requirements.
 Certificate of insurance – keep this safe as you may need to produce it to the police as
evidence of your insurance.
 Policy wording containing all the standard terms of your insurance.
 Information about Lexham and the service we provide
 Full details of any additional insurances you may have arranged such as Breakdown,
Personal Accident or Excess Protection cover are enclosed or will be sent be separate email.

If you have claimed a no claims discount from previous insurance, you must supply
evidence of this within the next 7 days. If you do not, additional premium will be required,
or your insurance may be cancelled. If you have any difficulty with this or if you have any

The policy schedule shows the insurance premium only. In addition to this the total amount
payable also includes our non-refundable broker administration fee of £65. For some new
vehicles you may have paid less than this if a manufacturer subsidy applies.

 IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Please read carefully
If you have chosen to pay the premium by taking out a loan repayable in monthly instalments,
you will receive documents relating to this separately.
If the Insured Vehicle is a scooter, moped or small bike, it’s possible that the insurer may not
be willing to continue insuring you if you change to a large motorbike. This could result in you
losing some no-claim discount entitlement. If you think this might affect you, please tell us.
If your insurance provides theft cover, please ensure you understand what security your policy
requires while your vehicle is not actually being ridden (including while garaged) – most insurers
require at least a D-lock, Disc-lock, Grip lock or armoured chain and will pay a theft claim only
if the vehicle was properly secured at the time. Also, if you have said the vehicle is kept
garaged, cover may not apply if the vehicle is stolen from your home while it is not locked in
your garage. There may be other requirements – see policy schedule.
This insurance does not normally cover you to drive other vehicles. Also, no-one else is
insured to drive the vehicle insured under this policy unless they are specifically mentioned on
the certificate. If either of these is important to you, please tell us. If you use your vehicle
abroad, please ensure beforehand that the policy covers this.
Claims
Any incident that involves third party injury or damage must be reported promptly to the insurer
– contact details are shown in their policy booklet, or you can obtain these from us.
Please also contact us on 01379 647887 for free advice and assistance, especially if you suffer
any injury or uninsured damage which you believe was someone else’s fault.
Changes To Your Policy
If you require any change to your policy at any time (such as changing the vehicle or adding or
deleting a named rider), or if there is any change in the facts you have disclosed (such as a
change of occupation or address or a new motoring conviction), please advise us as soon as
possible (telephone 01379 652500).
Cancelling Your Policy
If you wish to cancel your policy please call the cancellations department on 01379 643610
between 9am and 6:30pm Monday to Friday. Please also note that:
 the insurance can be cancelled by the policy holder only.
 cancellation after 14 days will be in accordance with a scale printed in the policy wording,
which may provide for a less than proportionate refund. Any administration fee charged by
the insurer or us is non-refundable;
 no refund of premium will be given if a claim has been (or is likely to be) made and any
outstanding balance of the annual premium must still be paid;
 if you make a claim for theft or other total loss, the policy may finish immediately and a new
policy may be required for any replacement vehicle;
 if you paid your premium by taking out a loan repayable in instalments, you must continue to
repay the loan to the finance company until any premium refund has been paid to them &
you have agreed with them how to pay any balance remaining outstanding.
