Display Messages
During the lift truck operation, messages can occur that
give visual aid to the operator. After correcting the con-
dition that caused the message, the message will be
removed. A list of the messages as seen on Access 1
with a description of the message function follows.
Messages after the operator turns on the lift truck and during operation
Display Description
BattGate The left or right battery retainer is not installed. If the retainers are in place, check
the Features Menu F7.1 and the BRES circuit.
Messages after the operator turns on the lift truck and during operation
Display Description
Center Handle The multi-task control handle is not in the center. If the multi-task control
handle is in the center when the message occurs, then do the calibration
steps in CALIBRATION MENU/C1.
Entry Bar Apply and then release the Entry Bar.
EPS Err The EPS has logged an active event. This message clears when there is no
active events on the EPS.
EPS EWS The battery or fuel cell has a critical event that results in the EPS cutting
power.
HCM Temp Access 2 module is above the temperature limits.
HoistCut The mast is tilted forward and does not allow raise above free-lift.
Left Pedal Release and then apply the left foot pedal.
LoadShed The EPS requests that the operator reduces the operating performance of
the lift truck. This message clears when the EPS is ready to allow full per-
formance.
Low SOC The SOC is low as the lift truck travels.
Low SOC, Lift Lockout The SOC is low, the lift truck is not in motion, and the key switch of the lift
truck has been cycled twice.
Low SOC, Rekey to Lift The SOC is low and the lift truck is not in motion. Turning off the key switch
(KYS) and turning on the key switch is permitted 2 times.
M1 Temp The right traction motor is above the temperature limits.
M2 Temp The left traction motor is above the temperature limits.
M3 Temp The pump motor is above the temperature limits.
PM Due Do a PM on the lift truck. If the lift truck is not due for a PM, make sure that
the HOURS Menu H10 PM TIMER is set correctly.
Refueling The EPS detects a battery charger is connected to prevent the lift truck from
driving away during the refueling or charging operation. This message
clears when the refueling or charging operation is complete and the EPS is
ready for normal operation.
RelHoist The raise/lower potentiometer (POT2) is not centered when the lift truck
turns on or before the operator stands on the pedals. Calibrate the raise/
lower potentiometer (POT2).

Rekey Truck and Calibrate The lift truck lost calibration. Turn off the lift truck and then turn on the lift
truck and follow the procedures in the Calibration Menu.
Rel Tilt One of the tilt switches (TBS or TDS) is closed when the lift truck turns on
or before the operator stands on the pedals. Examine the tilt switch circuits.
RelAccy1 The accessory potentiometer (POT3) is not centered when the lift truck
turns on or before the operator stands on the pedals. Calibrate the acces-
sory potentiometer (POT3).
RelAccy2 The sequence select switch (SSS) is closed and the accessory potentiom-
eter (POT3) is not centered when the lift truck turns on or before the oper-
ator stands on the pedals. Examine the sequence select switch (SSS)
circuit or calibrate the accessory potentiometer (POT3).
Right Pedal Release and then apply the right foot pedal.
TCM Temp Access 3™ module is above the temperature limits.
Tilt Limit The mast is raised above free-lift and does not allow additional tilt forward.
Truck Lockout The lift truck is placed in Truck Lockout (U3), which disables the lift truck
operation.
Unattended Movement The lift truck moved without an operator present.
Waiting on EPS The EPS is not ready for the lift truck to operate. Lift lift truck operation is
locked out until the EPS is ready. This message clears when the EPS is
ready for operation.
