HISTORY

Bookkeeping is the recording of financial transactions and is part of the process

of accounting in business. This is a work that is devoted to time and
wholeheartedly. To tell the story, I was a bookkeeper at Aurora Employees
Multi-Purpose Cooperative, LGU, Aurora, Isabela, from 2002 to 2010. I worked
Monday through Friday, Saturday, and Sunday occasionally. In 2007, my friend
offered me bookkeeping on Saturdays. She has a business in grain trading and
gas stations. This friend has many friends with businesses, and they offer
bookkeeping services, so she refers me to them. This starts my part-time job of
bookkeeping, and until such time, it increases the number of clients. I prepared
a monthly VAT, and during the filing of taxes, I filled it out at the Municipality
of Aurora's BIR office, where I met Sir Jerry Cauilan, Revenue Collection
Officer of Aurora, Isabela, and he’s from Aurora, Isabela too. This kind man is
the one who motivated me into who I am now, the one and only great mentor,
and a friend of mine. Thanks to Sir Castor Cauilan, he encouraged me to attend
seminars at BIR Ilagan, Isabela. He always informs me and reminds me of the
schedules of seminars at the Bureau of Internal Revenue, RDO 15, Ilagan, and
Isabela. I attended the seminars. There was a time when I went to Cauayan,
Isabela. As I was walking, I saw a sign for Bookkeeping Services and
Consultancy. I told myself, I have to start a business like that. I was encouraged
because I love bookkeeping. On June 1, 2010, Mr. Mario Quiros, our chairman
of the cooperative, informed me that I had to look for an attorney to stay at
work due to politics. I decided to file for leave for one month. I took the
opportunity and had time to process my registration. The only option I chose
was my initial ERF Bookkeeping Services and Consultancy, which I registered
at the Department of Trade and Industry and also at the Bureau of Internal
Revenue, RDO 15, Ilagan, Isabela. I applied for authority to print my official
receipts to issue them to my clients. Here comes June 30, 2010. After I finished
my leave, the chairman told me not to go to work anymore. So they terminated
me. I got all my separation pay and withdrew my share capital. I used these as
my starting capital. I have decided to have a lease as my office address in San
Juan, Aurora, Isabela (Lapuebla’s Residence). My business boomed fast and
had many clients. Because of the volume of work, I hired an employee. My
office is very small, with two tables, exactly to seat two clients. Because of my
successful work, clients trusted me and believed in me.The progress of my
clients is my progress too. My services included the preparation of financial
statements, business registration with the BIR and DTI, preparing income tax
returns, land consulting, and many more. Every time Sir Jerry told me if I'd be
accredited as a tax agent practitioner, as for my enforcement, So I prepared all
the requirements, but one of my requirements is to update. I have to finish my
units in taxation and take units in law. So I took my schooling at the University
of La Salette Roxas, Isabela. I go to school after 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays.After
my schooling, I applied for my accreditation at BIR Tuguegarao RR03. I
submitted all the requirements. After 1 month, the Bureau called me, and I
passed the accreditation. I was so very happy and thanked the Lord because, as
if I had passed the CPA board exam, my husband and I went to Tuguegarao to
receive my Certificate of Accreditation as a Tax Agent Practitioner, dated July
12, 2013. During that time, my assistant bookkeeper filed her resignation under
the name Marilyn Saguibo; she is a candidate for Sangguniang Kagawad in their
barangay. So in October 2013, I hired Ms. Fatima Y. Rumbaoa as my assistant
bookkeeper from Bolinao, Aurora, and Isabela. She learned a lot from me, and
until such time, she knows the flow of my work. I trusted her; she loves her
work. And now I have hired my sister, Liwliwa Muncal, as my liaison and
collection officer, and Jennifer Fajardo, my daughter-in-law. My family
business. Until now, my business has continued to grow.
