The first day of my class was indeed a tiring day yet a successful one .Excitement on our
virtual meet and greet were all seen in the faces of my pupils and their parents .Pupils and their
parents attentively listen to my Orientation on mental health awareness to prepare them and
their child in the teaching learning process at home. Although everyone struggled with the on
and off connection on the internet access. Several questions were raised because some parents
have difficulty in understanding directions on the modules and the given instruction on
messenger chat group .A discussion on how to answer all the activities in the module on the first
2 subjects English and Math were discussed and presented that enlighten everyone on their
concerns in using the module and the use of WHLP and activity sheets provided .Although
everyone needs to adjust with this new normal platform of education ,I assure them that we will
always keep our communication lines open if they need support and additional information on
topics and lessons .as we end up the session ,everyone greed that this new normal education
may be tough for teachers, parents and pupils ,but we will get through it working hand in hand to
MA. CARMEN SOFIA I. OLLESCA / II SAMPAGUITA continue learning amidst pandemic.

For most of my pupils, they are excited and somehow confused because there were no
teachers' presence. For some parents, the first day of classes was a bit annoying since it is not
MARIEROSE DEOCAMPO / II- LOTUS unusual that they are the one teaching their child. During my meet and greet with my pupils, I
saw happiness on their face and it touches my heart. I think weekly meeting and greetings with
my pupils is necessary because it motivates them and encourages them. I have a lot of queries
today, since it is new to all of us. Questions like, where are we going to answer the activities?
What are we going to do in the activity number 5 (English module)?. Are we going to answer all
of the activities all at once? Some told me that they are confused and sort of uneasy because of
this new way of learning that we had. After series of explanation, some says that they
understand what to do especially with the help of the WHLP that were included on the kit. At the
end of the class time, some parents posted pictures of their child answering the activities for the
day in our group chat

In our Meet and Greet, children were so excited and happy to meet their new teacher and new
classmates.
MARITA G. RAMOS/ Some parents asked some queries in answering the modules. Other parents worried
other activities in the modules, on how they will teach, all questions of parents, need to explain

parents to teach their child. Some of my parents said that it is not easy to them because they
have work every day. And I tell them it’s okay to teach their child at night when they go home.
They have also question like, “where they can write there answer”,” what activities they going to
do”. And I answered all there queries patiently. At the end of the day everything is okay. And I
think they made a successful teaching to their child. And they posted pictures of their child

This day is a new for everyone, new for us teachers, parents and pupils. It is not the usual go
back to school scene and I miss the old one but at this time of pandemic we need to embrace
the changes in our life not for our life itself but for our learners. And this time, our pupils are
affected, so we, as teacher we can help them by continuing their learning to avoid them from
stress.
