1. To continuously establish a communication system in strengthening the

relationships with the external partners and to inform the public of the status and
accomplishments, this Office through the Public Affairs Team (PAT) will conduct a
Consultation-Workshop of Public Affairs Team on Journalistic Ethics on July
15-17, 2024, from 8:00 am- 5:00 pm at Marick Elementary School, Cainta, Rizal.

2. The activity aims to:

a) capacitate the Public Affairs Team on Journalistic Ethics;

b) immerse the Public Affairs Team on the Process of Media Production and
Publication; and
c) enhance and upgrade the journalistic competence of the members of the
Public Affairs Team.

3. The participants in this activity are the members of SDO Rizal’s Public Affairs
Team and select members of the Public Affairs Team of the sub-offices. Considering
the manifold educational benefits of this activity, the participants are encouraged,
and the usual cooperation of all concerned is desired.

4. All participants are required to bring their laptop, extension cords,

broadband/internet connection to be used during the workshop.

5. Transportation and other incidental expenses that will be incurred relative to

the activity shall be charged against school MOOE or local funds whichever is
available while food expenses shall be charged against division fund subject to the
usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

6. Enclosed in the memorandum are the Members of the Technical Working

Group, Training Program Matrix, and the list of participants.

7. This Division Memorandum shall serve as Authority to Travel of the Division

Core Management Team and the registered participants.

8. Participants who will render services during weekends/holidays/school break

shall be given Service Credits (SC) for the teaching personnel and Compensatory
Overtime Credits (COC) for the non-teaching personnel based on the actual services
rendered during the activity adhering under CSC-DBM Joint Circular No.2 series of
2004 (Non-Monetary Remuneration for Overtime Services Rendered).

9. A finalization online meeting will be held on July 12, 2024, at 1:00 pm. The
link will be provided an hour before the meeting.
