Arguments for and against influencer marketing

As influencer marketing has become a popular advertising strategy, it attracts

abundant public attention. Recent data shows that the term ”influencer marketing”
reached a 61,000 monthly search time in 2018, while more social media users have
certainly been exposed to relevant information online (Scott, 2020). With the
influencers, influencer marketing enables companies to access to potential
consumers, increase their brands’ visibility and their consumers’ trust, as it brings
tremendous economic incomes. However, influencer collaboration also causes
promotional and legal issues, as well as the influencers’ high charges.

In conclusion, by influencer marketing’s accurate consumer guidance and ifluencers’

broad and powerful influence, it enhances the companies’ promotional abilities and
increases their economic scale. Meanwhile, the particularity of influencer
collaboration exacerbates the consequences of the improper decision-making, as
well as the inevitability of influencer fatigue leads to consumers’ tiredness and the
influencers’ high costs aggravates the companies’ economic burden. Solving this
dichotomy requires companies to evaluate all the factors to select the suitable
influencers and collaborate with accurate procedures.
