Dear Parents,
Revision for Exams
To the God be the glory. It is almost the end of second term.

In view of the impending examinations which commence on the 18th March, 2024 students are to prepare
adequately for the exams by learning all areas. I would like to provide an outline of the topics treated in
the terms for revision.
Below is a summary of the topics treated in the terms.

Numeracy:
• Ordering decimals
• using BODMAS to solve an equation
• using law of arithmetic to apply to simplify calculations
Thinking and
• multiplying and dividing whole numbers by 10, 100 and 1000.
working
• multiplying and dividing decimals by 10 and 100.
mathematically
• Estimating, adding and subtracting fractions/decimals
• Recording and representing and interpretating data on:
✓ Venn and Carroll diagrams
✓ tally charts and frequency tables
✓ bar charts
✓ waffle diagrams
✓ frequency diagrams for continuous data
✓ line graphs
✓ dot plots (one dot per data point).
• Fraction as a division of the numerator by the denominator
• finding fraction on shapes and numbers

Notebooks, and worksheets would be sent home for revision..
