1- Cable preparation for peelable semi-conductor cutting

Silicone grease or oil are advised for a best slipping of the tool on the cable.
Before all operation, straighten out the cable
Check that cable has a channelled or a smooth peelable semi-conducteur. For the
cables with a bonded semi- conductor, see subject 6.

2- Adjusting of the stylet SR (4) for the peelable semi- conductor

Check that the channelled or smooth semi-conductor is peelable. stylet SR Index.
Pull up and turn
For the UTE C 33-226 cables, check the indication of the peelable
semi-conductor thickness on the cable outer sheath.
Choose the penetration cote written on the index of the stylet SR
immediately inferior to the one indicated on the outer sheath of the
cable.
For the UTE C 33223 and NFC 33 223 cables, choose the
penetration cote of 0,9
Penetration
For the HN33S23 cables, choose the penetration cote of 1,1 cote
By pulling up and turning the index of the stylet SR, advertise the
penetration cote in the side of the blade
Examples : For ‘0.8’ on the sheath, choose 0.7 on the stylet
For ‘0.9’ on the sheath, choose 0.9 on the stylet
blade

3- Setting of stylet SR
Set the semi-conductor stylet SR (4) by pressing on the push button (6)
Place the stylet SR (4) on position « OFF »

The tools must be used when the cable is out of tension by skilled workers who are competent in
cable preparation and know about electrical phenomenons.
 Wearing anti-cut gloves is obligatory.
Clean the tools after each utilization.

Realize the incision with the bent handle (3) 11

until the contact of the thrust (7) with the outer
sheath, then effect two rounds.
Put the stylet on « OFF » 7
Unscrew the button (11) and pull out the 3
tool.(Be careful to not damage the blade by pulling
out the tool).
Remove the semi- conductor manually
by unsticking the extremity with the DSP tool.
6- MF1+ preparation for the bonded semi- conductor
Use silicone grease or oil on the cable to realize the bonded
semi- conductor stripping.
Insert the measuring rod PASC1-MV (14) in the tool and close
the tool on the measuring rod. Unscrew the button (8) and advance
the blade (9) with the button (10) to come in contact with the
measuring rod (14). The blade is settled.
Set the thrust (7) at the cote of semi- 14 8
conductor (30 40 or 45 mm) indicated on the
instructions of accessory.
Pull on the push button(2) and introduce
the handle (3) to lock the position of the
