Reference AO 04/2021/AGICW and Army Welfare Education Society website 2, _ Important aspects of Education Scholarship Scheme for Army Personnel (ESSA) for Academic Year 2022-2023 are presented in succeeding Paras, 3. Applications are required to be submitted online by the eligible applicants. Online application format will be available on AWES website www.awesindia.com. No offline application will be considered for payment of scholarship and issue of Morit certificates. Eligibility 4. The eligibility conditions are as under:- (2) Wards of all serving Army personnel and MNS Officers. Applicant / ward must not have attained 25 years of age at the time of completion of clase/course from IX to PG level of education. (b) Wards of Retired Army personnel, Territorial Army personnel (TA) and deceased Amy personnel are not eligible. Method of Selection and Award of Scholarship 5. Once the applications are received based on cut off percentages, merit ist wil be drawn for award of scholarships based on allotment of funds for the present financial year. Amount of Scholars! 7. The amount of scholarships, based on the levels of education for all ‘categories are as under Ss ‘Class ] Rate of Scholarship No. (Rs) (a) |O1KEXI €1500- (o) | C1X &XIl ©3000 [| Graduation © 5000/- (6) | Post-Graduation 10000 Merit Cortificate 8, Merit certificates willbe issued online to all eligible applicants, Timelines 9, The applications should pertain to the declared results of the immediate preceding academic year between 01 Oct of the preceding year and 30 Sep of the Current year (i.e, applications will be processed this year for the period from (01 Oct 2022 to 30 Sep 2028), 40. As per guidelines of AO O4/2021/AGICW last dato for receipt of application is 30 Nov 2023. Any change in the last date of receipt of application beyond 30 Nov 2023 will be updated on AWES website at an appropriate stage. ‘of India Merit Scho 11. RW Section, CW Dte (DIAV) dealing with Mis Times of India scholarship allots the vacancies for scholarships for professional courses ie for Engineering, Medical, MBA, MCA, Mass Communication and Jouralism. — Particulars of applicants for award of above scholarships will be fwd by this H to REW Sec, 42, No separate application for award of Times of India Merit scholarship shall be forwarded to R&W Sec, CW Die (DIAV), However, only one scholarship is entitled to a student in an academic year.
