PED 9 – The Teacher and the School Curriculum

Good day, PED 9 Class.

Below are your tasks for the few remaining days of classes.

1. Teaching Plan/Session Guide

▪ This will be your last course requirement which is to be completed in pairs. Follow the pairing in the
Syllabus assignment.
▪ From the syllabus you developed, select one content and its competency/ies and develop a session
guide following the 4As teaching model. [Just like the one you prepared in your PED 10 class.]
▪ The due date for submission for this task is on or before May 3, 2024.

2. Summative Test of 30 items on Monday, April 29, 2024.

▪ The coverage for the summative test includes:

1. Mapping of competency into enabling skills
2. The Arts and Science of Question Asking [Types and Classification]
3. Teaching plan or lesson plan [Read the importance of lesson plan, process of teaching/lesson plan
Preparation, SMART objectives]

3. Due to several class interruptions, I feel the need for the class to have a course final examination. The
coverage of the final examinations will include:

1. The Teaching Profession, Teacher’s Roles & Code of Ethics

2. Teaching Principles, Methods, Learning Environment, & 21st Century Skills
3. Curriculum [Types, process, models, theoretical and legal bases]
4. Curriculum mapping of competency into enabling skills
5. The Arts and Science of Question-Asking [Types and Classification]
6. Teaching plan/lesson plan [process, importance, SMART objectives]
