3 lps held tog on outer side of circle, *[sc,

Outer Strip
Hairpin lace strip: Make strip with 192
lps on each side; tie ends to form circle.
Rnd 3: With RS facing, attach thread with
a sl st in 6 lps held tog on inner side of cir­
cle, *[sc in same place, ch 5, sc] in 6 lps held
tog, ch 3, sl st in next 6 lps held tog, ch 4, sl
st in 4th ch from hook, sl st in same 6 lps, ch
3, rep from * around, join in beg sc.
Joining to doily center
Rnd 4: Sl st in ch-5 sp, ch 3, 2-dc cl in
same ch-5 sp, ch 2, sl st in corresponding
ch-4 sp of doily center, ch 2, 2-dc cl in 4th
ch from hook, 3-dc cl in same ch-5 sp, ch 7,
*3-dc cl in next ch-5 sp, ch 2, sl st in corre­
sponding ch-4 sp of doily center, ch 2, 2-dc
cl in 4th ch from hook, 3-dc cl in same ch-5
sp, ch 7, rep from * around, join in top of
beg 2-dc cl, fasten off.
Edging
Rnd 1: With RS facing, attach thread
with a sl st in 4 lps held tog on outer edge
of strip, *[sc, ch 5, sc] in 4 lps held tog, ch
5, sl st in 4th ch from hook, ch 2, rep from
* around, join in beg sc.
Rnd 2: Sl st in ch-5 sp, ch 3, 2-dc cl in same
sp, ch 4, 2-dc cl in 4th ch from hook, 3-dc cl
in same ch-5 sp as previous dc cl, ch 3, *3-dc
cl in next ch-5 sp, ch 4, 2-dc cl in 4th ch from
hook, 3-dc cl in same ch-5 sp, ch 3, rep from *
