The slip ring assembly, part No. 110-222.X15, Stock No. 3601361 used so
far, consisting of slip ring PCB, Brush assembly and software, will be no
longer available.
In the future the slip ring PCB and the new brush assembly can be ordered
and exchanged separately from each other.
The new brush assembly can be used with all different slip ring PCB´s in
use.
INSTRUCTIONS: In case of problems within the range of the slip rings/brushes should be
proceeded in the following order:
1. Dampen a clean paper cloth with Isopropanol and clean the slip rings
intensively with it.
If still no clear wear is visible, the slip rings should, if not yet hap-
pened, as described in our Service Bulletin 11/2004, be protected
with „CRAMOLIN®-SCHUTZ“
3. In case of problems within the range of the brushes only the complete
brush assembly can be replaced with the new type 110-222.X18.
MATERIAL:
REMARKS: Since a large number of compasses works very well with the former type
of brushes installed so far, it is not intended to make a general refitting on
all ships!
