Addendum
Consequent upon considering the request of the training institutes, the last date for
admission to all the RCI’s approved certificate and diploma level courses for the academic
session 2024-25 is hereby extended up to 28.06.2024 in the larger interest of all the
stakeholders.
2. Accordingly, the revised schedule for admission is as under:

Admission Notification for the Academic Session 2024-25

National Board of Examination in Rehabilitation (NBER), RCI has decided that admission to
all the RCI’s approved Certificate and Diploma level courses for the academic session 2024-25 will
be granted directly by the respective training institutes, University departments, National Institutes of
DEPwD and CRCs as per the following admission schedule and guidelines:

B. Eligibility for Admission: Minimum entry qualification for admission to certificate and diploma level
courses will be 50% marks at class 12th examinations from any recognized board of Central/State
 Government. However, relaxation in percentage (%) marks in the qualifying examination for the
reserved categories to be strictly followed as per the policy of the Central/State Government.
C. Admission Committee: Admission shall be granted by the admission committee constituted by
the respective training institute comprising of following members:
• Head of the Training Institute/HoD of the University : Chairperson
• Principal or its nominee of any nearby Government School : Member
• Head of any other RCI’s approved training Institutes : Member
• One representative belonging to SC/ST : Member
• One representative of PwD : Member

D. Reservation Policy for admission shall be applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/EWS category as per
the policy of the concerned State Government/Union Territory. However, preference in admission
to RCI approved diploma and certificate level courses to be extended to parents and siblings of
PwDs on the basis of percentage of disability with minimum 50% disability- 5 marks and minimum
10 marks 100% disability (Circular F. No: 7-91/RCI/2024 dated 29 February, 2024). (Applicable
to first blood relation only)
E. No request for extension of last date for admission shall be considered under any circumstances.
F. Admission should be made only forthe approved intake and in no case, it should exceed the
approved number of seats.
G. It is the sole responsibility of the head of the training institutes to ensure the transparency in
admission process and any litigation in the admission process shall be dealt by the respective
training institute only.
H. Once admission done, no request for change of course and change of institution shall be
entertained by the NBER, RCI.
I. Cost of prospectus and application from charged by any institute can be maximum Rs. 200/-
only. However, PwD candidates having UDID card with benchmark disability (40%) are exempted
from application fee.
J. The training institute shall not charge more than the prescribed course fee from the admitted
candidates as prescribed by RCI.
K. Prospective applicants are advised to refer the Council’s website with regard to validity of approval
of course and intake for admission in the academic session 2024-25 prior to opt any of the
training institutions including Government institutions to pursue the course.
L. Training institutions whose validity of approval is up to and beyond 2024-25 session are only
eligible to take admissions to the approved courses only.
M. Deviation on any of the above instructions and guidelines will lead to disciplinary action as per
rules and the NBER, RCI shall not be responsible for any unauthorized admission, intake, batches
where approval for the current academic session 2024-25 is not granted by the RCI.
