Description of maintenance issue:

When examining the ammonia refrigeration plant:
1-It was found that the suction pressure and the discharge pressure of compressor No. 1 were
equal very quickly, and this indicates that there was a break in the spring of the non-return valve.
2- The compressor discharge pressure is high, so the Evaporative Condenser was inspected and it was
found that there was a leak from the mechanical seal of the Recycling pump.
3- The amount of oil in the liquid separator trap is high, so the oil will be expelled and we want to change
the oil separator cartridges as soon as possible.
4- The TDS in the Evaporative Condenser water were measured and the percentage of TDS was found to
be increased So the drain valve was opened slightly until the water was changed next Friday.

Problem solving procedure:

1-Verify that the spring is available in the spare parts store.
2-Making a vacuum for the compressor from itself or from another compressor and close
the suction and discharge valves.
3- Change the non-return valve spring, clean the intake filter and oil filter, and clean the
strainer on the oil pump
4- The spare pump has been installed, and the mechanical seal and repair kit for the entire pump are
being changed.

5- the drain valve was opened slightly until the water was changed next Friday.
