Most nations, around the world, have a unique history which has brought them to

their current state. Some claim that every country needs to remember its past while
those who refute this opinion argue that it is not significant. I strongly agree with
the first opinion for the following rationales.

Firstly, history has a great importance in our lives, in spite of the fact that there are
people who think the past is useless and there is no point in studying history. For
instance, lack of knowledge of the past of their country would have a tragic
outcome in the society. Thus teaching history to the children needs to be
considered comprehensively. Because if children are not taught history, there will
be consequences.

Nevertheless, history can influence people on a positive matter, by reminding them

about the achievements and mistakes of the past. On the one hand, the
achievements set an example for individuals to fight for, while the drawbacks
alarm them and make them more cautious. In order to this, people will learn to
show tolerance toward others so they might not repeat past mistakes.

Taking everything into consideration, the knowledge of our past is absolutely

important for us to become complete individuals. Subsequently, it's my firm belief,
that history must be taught thoroughly throughout all the academic years.
