Wake Up Revision Notes


 In this, C. Fletcher's poem Called "Wake Up’’ seeks to underline the
necessity of getting up early every day.
 The swarming bees and chirping birds in the trees are a sight to behold.
 The poet encourages children to get up and enjoy the beautiful day by
inviting them to come out and play in the sun.
 It encourages the readers to swiftly bathe and dress and go out when
everyone is awake and in good spirits.
 Horses, cows, ducks, sheep, and even a baby chicken are all up and about,
chirping cheep-cheep-cheep.
 The sunrise is a great time to start the day and sleeping past that is too
late.
 Waking up early gives us time to enjoy nature and with people who are
already awake.

 The poem emphasises the necessity of rising early every day and
