Tony Tan Caktiong, a Chinese immigrant, founded Jollibee, a popular fast-food chain in the
Philippines. After starting an ice cream shop, he expanded to include fried chicken, fries, and
burgers. Jollibee has over 2,500 outlets in the Philippines and international locations
2. Socorro Ramos (National Book Store)
Socorro Ramos, a renowned Philippine businesswoman, started her career as a bookshop
salesgirl at 19, launching the National Book Store in Escolta. Despite Japanese censorship, she
and her husband expanded their business, selling books and school supplies. The store now

Elon Musk, a South African entrepreneur with a net worth of over $20 billion, founded Tesla and
SpaceX. Born in 1971, Musk studied physics and economics at the University of Pennsylvania
before moving to California. He co-founded Tesla in 2004 and has founded startups like The
Boring Company and OpenAI. Musk is agnostic but steadfast in his entrepreneurial pursuits.
