Dyson

The firm announced they were moving their headquarters to Singapore as a


result of Britain leaving the EU. The company was founded in 8 July, 1991 by
James Dyson in Malmesbury, England. Dyson designs and manufactures
household appliances such as vacuum cleaners, air purifiers, hand dryers,
bladeless fans, heaters, hair dryers, and lights. The impacts of Dyson leaving
the EU was creating 200 new jobs at its research facilities in Malmesbury and
Hullavington, Wiltshire, Dyson picks historic Singapore building for new HQ,
Dyson cuts 900 jobs amid coronavirus impact, Sir James said the end of the
UK's transition period with the EU had enabled Dyson to hire the
engineering .talent it was lacking in the UK. The impact on the UK might
change tax liabilities and access to markets, the impact on the sector may be
minimal. The sector accounts for almost 10% of the UK’s total services exports
so disruption to this will have a major negative impact not only on individual
businesses but on the wider prosperity of the UK.

Threat of entry to the industry by new competitors- Sir James said that Asia
was the fastest growing market in the world and that it was "very important"
for Dyson to have a presence there.

could charge lower for the company to order more

would be many competitors
