SPHYGMOMANOMETER (BLOOD PRESSURE MACHINE)

A sphymomanometer has three parts: a cuff that can be inflated with air, a pressure meter
(manometer) for measuring air pressure in the cuff and a stethoscope for listening to the
sound the blood makes as it flows through the brachial artery.

HYDROGEN PEROXIDE

Hydrogen peroxide is a mild antiseptic used on the skin to prevent infection of minor
cuts, scrapes and burns. It may also be used as a mouth rinse to help remove mucus or to
relieve minor mouth irritation (such as due canker/cold sore, gingivitis.

SAVLON

Savlon Antiseptic wound wash is used to cleanse and help prevent infection in first aid,
washing minor wounds to remove the dirt and debris, cuts and grazes, insect bites and
stings and minor abrasions.
HAND SANITIZER

Hand sanitizer contains a high concentration of germs killing.

IODINE TINCTURE

Iodine aids healing in a range of acute and chronic wounds.

MERCUROCHROME

Mercurochrome sanitizer is perfect for hand hygiene without any soap or water.
Antibacterial, with no rinsing required, kills 99% of bacteria and fungi.
SMELLING SALT

Smelling salts are used to arouse consciousness because the release of ammonia (NH 3)
gas that accompanies their use irritates the membranes of nose and lungs and thereby
triggers inhalation reflex.

CREPE BANDAGES

Crepe bandages support the healing of sprains and strains.

TRIANGLE BANDAGE

A triangular bandage is used as an arm sling or as a pad to control bleeding. It may also
be used to support or immobilize an injury to a bone or joint or as improvised over a
painful injury.
BAND AIDS

Protects the wound and scab from bacteria, damage, or dirt, so that the healing process of
the body is less disturbed.

COTTON BALLS

Cotton balls have multiple uses in the medical field including cleaning out wounds with
hydrogen peroxide or iodine, applying antiseptics or topical ointments, cleaning minor
cuts and skin irritations and stopping blood after an injection is given or blood withdrawn.

GAUZE SPONGE

They are ordinarily made gauze and are used absorb blood and other fluids as well
wounds.
GAUZE BANDAGE

Hold a dressing in place on a wound, maintain pressure over a bulky pad to control
bleeding, support an injured limb or joint, and apply pressure to a limb.

MICRO-PORE TAPE

Commonly used to secure bandages and dressings to the skin without leaving a sticky
residue, micro-pore tape is hypoallergenic and be used long-term without fear of skin
irritation. It’s adhesive sticks to the skin, underlying tape, or directly to dressing materials.

SAFETY PINS

Safety pins can be used generally to patch torn or damaged clothing.


DISSECTING FORCEPS (PLASTIC)

Standard Dissecting Forceps is a specialized device that surgeons in different areas used
to grasp, manipulate and dissect fragile layers of tissue, in order to reach deeper cavities or
structures.

SCISSORS

An essential too for first aid cabinet or kit, for cutting swabs and surgical dressing with
safety.

KIDNEY DISH (PLASTIC)

A shallow basin with a kidney-shaped base and sloping walls used in medical and surgical
wards to receive soiled dressings and other medical waste.
BLANKET (non flammable material)
