Make sure that the implement lockout switch is tumed to the UNLOCKED position. Move the implement control levers to all positions several times to release any pressure in the hydraulic system. lustration 3 203730781 (1) Brake control valve (B1) Brake pressure tap 5. Locate pressure port (B1). This pressure tap is on the brake manifold mounted to the bevel gear case and can be accessed at the rear of the machine. 6. Attach Tooling (A) to pressure tap (B1). Test Procedure (Brake Actuation Pressure) ‘The following test procedure will determine if the pressure of the oil that is delivered from the brake valve is within the specified limit. 1. Start the engine, Warm the power train oil to a temperature of 84° + 8°C (183° + 14°F). 2. Operate the engine at LOW IDLE. Make sure that the parking brake is in the OFF position. 3. Check the pressure at Tooling (A). The pressure at Tooling (A) should be 2400 + 187 kPa B48 +27 psi) 4, Operate the engine at HIGH IDLE. Make sure that the parking brake is in the OFF position. 5. Check the pressure at Tooling (A). Refer to Table 1 for correct pressure for certain machines. 6. The pressure at Tooling (A) should be less than 70 kPa (10 psi) when the parking brake or the service brake is engaged. Test Preparation (Right Brake Actuation Pressure) 1. Move the machine to a smooth horizontal location, 2. Lower all the implements. 3. Shut off the engine. 4, Turn the key to the ON position. Make sure that the implement lockout switch is turned to the UNLOCKED position. Move the implement control levers to all positions several times to release any pressure in the hydraulic system. Mlustration 4 203677147 Right Brake (B2) Pressure port forthe right brake (@) Final Drive 5. Locate brake pressure port (B2) inboard of right planetary gears toward the rear of the machine. 6. Remove the plug from brake pressure port (B2). 7. Assemble Tooling (F). Install Tooling (F) in the location for brake pressure port (B2). 8. Attach Tooling (A) to Tooling (F). Test Procedure (Right Brake Actuation Pressure) The following test procedure will determine if the oil pressure that is delivered to the right brake is within the specified limit 1, Start the engine, Warm the power train oil to a temperature of 84° + 8°C (183° + 14°F), 2. Operate the engine at LOW IDLE. Make sure that the parking brake is in the OFF position. 3. Check the pressure at Tooling (A). The pressure at Tooling (A) should be 2400 « 187 kPa (348 +27 psi). 4. Operate the engine at HIGH IDLE. Test Procedure (Left Brake Actuation Pressure) Note: For the left brake, remove the plug that is toward the front of the machine. Perform Step 1 through Step 6 in "Test Procedure (Right Brake Actuation Pressure)" for the left brake on the other side of the machine. Test Preparation (Right Brake Lubrication) 1. Move the machine to a smooth horizontal location. 2. Lower all the implements. 3. Shut off the engine, 4, Turn the key to the ON position. Make sure that the implement lockout switch is turned to the UNLOCKED position. Move the implement control levers to all positions several times to release any pressure in the hydraulic system. Mlustration 203677148 Right brake (G) Final Drive (LB2) Test port for right-hand brake lubrication 5. Locate pressure port for brake lubrication (LB2) inboard of right planetary gears at the front of the machine. 6. Remove the plug from pressure port for brake lubrication (LB2). 7. Assemble Tooling (F). Install Tooling (F) in the pressure port for brake lubrication (LB2).. 8. Attach Tooling (A) to Tooling (F) Test Procedure (Right Brake Lubrication) ‘The following test procedure will determine if the pressure of the lubrication oil to the right brake is within the specified limit. 1. Start the engine, Warm the power train oil to a temperature of 84° 4 8°C (183° + 14°F), 2. Operate the engine at LOW IDLE. Make sure that the steering control lever is in the NEUTRAL position. 3. Check the pressure at Tooling (A). The pressure at Tooling (A) should be 13 + 10 kPa (1.91.5 psi). 4. Operate the engine at HIGH IDLE. Make sure that the parking brake is in the OFF position. 5. Check the pressure at Tooling (A). The pressure at Tooling (A) should be 90 + 68 kPa (13 = 10 psi). Test Procedure (Left Brake Lubrication) Note: For the left brake, remove the plug that is toward the rear of the machine (LB1). Reference: Refer to Table | for correct pressure for certain machines. Perform Step 1 through Step 3 in "Test Procedure (Right Brake Lubrication)" for the left brake on the other side of the machine.
