describes how an object’s position changes with respect to time. This means
that velocity shows the rate and direction of change for a position vector, so
velocity is the derivative of position. From the definition of an integral, this
means that a vector-valued function describing the position of an object is
the integral of the vector-valued function that describes the velocity of the
same object.
