Supply
Supply
Being able to quickly react, initiate new routes, and scale up or down in response to
variations in product and consumer demand rates is what makes a supply chain responsive. As
such, it needs a high level of excess capacity.
When a product is delivered to the end customer promptly and at a higher cost, supply chain
efficiency is achieved by making the most of the available resources. Supply chain management
systems improve product quality, guarantee process efficiency, reduce risks and interruptions,
and stimulate corporate expansion.
