1.1 Introduction:
Any construction project can only begin and end successfully if a well-planned timetable is
followed in accordance with the requirements and standards of the client. Making a thorough
Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and schedule strategy for a structure is the aim of this study.
By using efficient scheduling, project action plans that address scope, time, cost, and quality
are converted into a timeline that can be followed. It serves as a vital conduit via which the
project team translates these standards into operational guidelines, together with those for
communications, risk management, procurement, and human resources. When combined with
the project plan and budget, the schedule becomes an essential tool for project management
since it provides a strong framework for tracking and managing project activities over the
course of the project's lifetime. The project's efficiency and success depend on the seamless
integration of schedule and cost management.

1.2 Project Information:

To prepare the essential construction work schedule for this project, University Technology
Malaysia (UTM), Johor, Malaysia, has chosen to use its existing college block, L22. This
project is being undertaken on behalf of University Technology Malaysia. For the purpose of
this project, however, it is assumed that the structure will be entirely new, with construction
scheduled to begin on July 1, 2024, and finish on July 1, 2025. The L22 project is a two-story
building located in the university's Western area, where most of the campus.

1.5 Conclusion

The construction project detailed in this document exemplifies the importance of meticulous
planning and execution in achieving project success. Utilizing Microsoft Project for scheduling
and management, the project covers critical aspects such as task breakdown, cost management,
and resource allocation. The integration of comprehensive dashboards and cost analysis tools
ensures real-time tracking and efficient resource utilization. The detailed Work Breakdown
Structure (WBS) and well-defined timelines demonstrate a strategic approach to meeting
project milestones within the specified period. Overall, this project highlights the effective
application of project management principles and software tools to deliver a construction
project that adheres to the client's requirements and standards, showcasing a robust framework
for future projects.
