INTRODUCTION

In spite of “No Parking” boards put up on the streets, owners still park their vehicles in areas
where parking is prohibited. Further, these vehicles are towed off by RTO personnel or traffic
police and the owners are imperilled to pay fine. Not only in public places but in many
educational institutions, hospitals and secluded infrastructures, it creates chaos in parking
management. To address this issue, the study aims to design and develop a smart system
which alerts (SMS) the vehicle owners at first.

First let’s understand in what perspective we are developing this unauthorized parking
system.According the third rule of NEW MOTOR VEHICLES ACT 2019. Car owner cannot
park their car at following places like,

a) Where parking is prohibited.

b) On footpath or near footpath.
c) On private properties without owner’s consent.
d) In front of any premises.
e) Near bus stops, schools, and hospitals.
Also towing vans are not able to reach to the perfect spot to make the enquiry.According to
the section 177 of the motor vehicles act if a car owner park his or her car within 500 meters
of (PPL) public parking lots and 20 designated BESTS depots in the city will have to pay fine
in accordance of the act.But the problem is no one use to follow these published rules by
RTO and continue causing rush on roads and incidents like accidents and all. Also, recently
traffic police using their new PIT lOCATION system to track the no parking incidents.in
there they are used to take the photo of car and send alert and pit location message to the car
owner. To make it more precise we are using the metal detector to detect the metal cause cars
are made up of metal, mostly with steal. Then a sound sensor to sense the buzzer sound to
activate the speaker alert system.
LITERTURE SURVEY

Detection of unauthorized parkingusing RFID. In this system a RFIDtechnology-based

system is proposed bystudents of Sharda University, Greater Noida,India in 2022. In this
system they have used RFIDEM-18 reader module, and GSM module totransmit the data or
form communication betweencar owner and device. Automated Unauthorized Parking
Detector with Smart Vehicle Parking. By Sridevi Garikapati and S. Sarath Chandra from
Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, QIS College of Engineering and
Technology. In this system they have used RFID technology and IR sensor (infrared sensor).
To sense the object and send the alert message to the car owner. (2019). An iot based parking
system to prevent unauthorized parking system. By Karna Chaitanya and B. Madhvi. In this
system they have introduced a wireless communication system using ESP8266, with RFID
EM-18 and also proximity sensor. (2023) No parking alert system. By Dayashankar Das1,
Jyotish Dubey2, Nihal Singh, Maitry Shah4, Rupali Pashte5. Used alert system to inform
vehicle owner after fetching of car or vehicle details. (2019). Traffic rules and traffic safety.
(journal)population of India in much higher and due to which most of the population do not
follow the traffic rules. NEW MOTOR VEHICLES ACT, 2019. Automatic no parking fine
system. By Dr. K. Madhusudan, K. Yogesh, M.S. Yamini, P. Venkat Pradeep Krishna, R.V.
Yaswanth. Have used ifttt webpage to generate automatic mails to owner. (2022).
TABLE FOR LITERATURE SURVEY
HARDWARE COMPONENT USED

 Arduino Uno:

Arduino UNO is a low-cost, flexible, and easy-to-use programmable open-source

microcontroller board that can be integrated into a variety of electronic projects. This board
can be interfaced with other Arduino boards, Arduino shields, Raspberry Pi boards and can
control relays, LEDs, servos, and motors as an output.

 Node MCU ESP-8266:

Node MCU ESP8266 it’s a controller that transfers data through Wi-Fi. The Node MCU
ESP8266 is an extensively employed development board in IoT applications, providing a
versatile and cost-effective approach to connect devices to the internet. It features Wi-Fi and
programming capabilities, facilitating speedy prototyping and deployment of IoT solutions.
 RFID (receiver and transmitter):
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a technology that uses radio waves to
passively identify a tagged object. It is used in several commercial and industrial
applications, from tracking items along a supply chain to keeping track of items
checked out of a library
.

 GPS IoT
devices with GPS capabilities can be used to track the location of objects or people in
real-time. GPS-enabled devices can send location data to the tracking software, which can
display the location on a map and send alerts if the object or person moves out of a
specified area.

:
 METAL DETECTOR
A metal detector is an instrument that detects the nearby presence of metal. Metal
detector is useful for finding metal objects on the surface, underground, and under
water. The units itself consist of a control box, and an adjustable shaft, which holds a
pickup coil, which can vary in shape and size.

 SOUND SENSOR:
A sound sensor is defined as a module that detects sound waves through its intensity
and converting it to electrical signals. sound sensor consists of an in-built capacitive
microphone, peak detector and an amplifier (LM386, LM393, etc.) that’s highly
sensitive to sound.
 SPEAKER:
A speaker consists of a baffle connected to a coil of wire wrapped around a magnetic
core. When electricity is passed through the coil it will move, pushing or pulling the
baffle, which in turn moves air and produces an audible sound. Speakers are very low
resistance and so require capacitors to block
the DC current

 SD CARD MODULE:
The SD card module is especially useful for projects that require data logging. The
Arduino can create a file in an SD card to write and save data using the SD
library. There are different models from different suppliers, but they all work in a
similar way, using the SPI communication protocol.

Conclusion

So from this we have concluded that by using RFID technology, unauthorized parking
problems can be solved easily without any man power. No any problem will be faced by the
police officers to catch the rule breakers. If the vehicle owners park their vehicle in no
parking area, this system detects vehicle details and sends a SMS alert to the owner by AWS
IOT with a triggering action of Amazon SNS. By this system the database automatically can
be shared with local Traffic Police and RTO personals for further actions on unauthorized
parking and auto search for the owner’s details and will send the fine and location. Therefore,
this is used to reduce the no parking problem in a metropolitan city. We have confidence that
our project going to build much better than the current process.

Our project also will help the government in financial way, the collection of fine will become
for smooth and discipline will come in use.
