30January 2024

Dear
This letter is to inform you that I have tendered my resignation and announced my
retirement from the position of Director, to the Executive of Chaplains Alert Western
Cape.
My retirement will be effective as of 27 February 2024.
This was not an easy decision to make, but I feel that it is time as my Parochial
Ministry continues to keep me busy with two parishes of the Anglican Church.
I will however be there to assist, guide and/or support the leadership of Chaplains
Alert Western Cape in an advisory capacity.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your kindness, undivided support
and assistance given to me, and the organization, which I have directed for 25 years.
CAWC has developed tremendously, because of your generous support.
Chaplains Alert Western Cape will continue to serve the City of Cape Town during
the worst of times. Chaplains are those people who come to the fore when disaster
and tragedy strike. Chaplains are there to support all first responders and members
of the public in all traumatic situations by providing the much-needed Pastoral care. I
have no doubt that this service will continue.
I am in deed grateful for the opportunity I have had, to lead these men and women in
community service. Now the time has come for me to bow out with a fully functional
Chaplaincy that will benefit all Emergency Services and communities.
May God’s grace, peace, mercy, and love, be with you and sustain you, I pray.
Kindest regards,

Director
Rev Linda Idas
