National Day

It was 31st August 2021, The National Day. My Family were rich with

patriotic values. So we decided to go to the Merdeka Square together. We wanted

to celebrate the historical day . Me and my younger brother, Raju were very

excited as we saw thousands of people from all walks of life.

An hour later, the King and the honourable guests arrived at the

scene. The ceremony started with the National Anthem. Then, the King and

the Prime Minster gave their speeches. After that, the most awaited National

Day parade began. I was delighted to see a troop of soldiers marched neatly

during the parade. They saluted the King as they passed by him. Then, a choir

of singers sang the 2021’s National Day song “Saya Anak Malaysia”. It was a

speechless performance.

Watching beautiful floats which were decorated with colourful

flowers also made me jubilant. When the ceremony was over, my family and me

left the place.
