Let’s start with some examples of personal essay prompts:
 Describe one of your earliest childhood memories.
 What is your background? (E.g. Family, house, school)
 What is your most interesting or unique quality? What word(s) describes you the best?
 Describe a challenge or event that made you who you are today.
 What are your short and long-term goals, and how do you plan to achieve them?
 Write about a time you failed at something. How did it affect you?
 Who is the most admirable person for you?
 What is the most important physical object in your life? (take a photo of it and bring it to class)
 What would you like to change about yourself?
 Do you think your hometown is a good place to live? Why or why not?
 Are you addicted to social media? How it impacts your life and what it makes you change.
 How do you see yourself in ten years?

Note: now write an essay using some of these questions in 100-120 words. Tomorrow 4/03 you should hand it in and
make an oral presentation about your own information, as well.
