intent to apply as a practicum or on-the-job training student in your esteemed office,
where I can actively engage in the field of social work. As an incoming fourth year
student pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work at Mindanao State
University – Marawi City, I am eager to fulfill the requirements of my program and gain
practical experience in an agency in your municipality who provides social services and
programs.
As part of the Bachelor of Science in Social Work curriculum, it is a prerequisite for
students to complete a total of 1,000 hours of field instruction and practice in an agency.
This practical training encompasses the three essential methods of social work, namely
community organizing, group work, and case work.
Given my strong dedication to serving and working with my community, I firmly believe
that with the support of your agency, we can effectively mobilize all available resources
and services towards the betterment of our target community. Moreover, this
opportunity will undoubtedly contribute to the development of my competencies as an
aspiring social worker.
