What criteria do you use to evaluate and review projects or tasks?

I’m an author as well, depending on how the book is written, I give my criteria.
How do you approach providing constructive feedback to the creators or authors?
I’ll give them honest feedback while minding my words just enough to encourage them to
self-reflect and not be confused.
Why should we give you this role in our community?
I believe I can be quite a good one when it comes to completing my tasks well. With me on
board, you can be sure not to have any issues at all.
How do you ensure fairness and objectivity in your reviews?
I’ll keep my review flexible. As I mentioned, I’ll give them time to review themselves while
making sure they understand where specific improvements are necessary.
Are there any specific guidelines or standards you follow when reviewing projects?
None. I try to keep it calm, crisp, and curt.
How do you balance providing positive feedback with areas for improvement in your
reviews?
I give everything in terms of positivity. I wouldn’t say ‘The character development is not
good.’ Rather, I’d say, ‘The character development could use more work’ and state the
precise areas where improvement is necessary.
Have you ever had to deal with conflicting opinions or disagreements in your reviews?
How did you handle it?
No, and I like to believe that I won’t have to deal with them because my approach is keen, on
point, and yet very amicable.
What are the qualities a reviewer should possess?
Having the knack to not hurt the other person’s feelings yet get the point across is one of the
many qualities a reviewer must possess.
How experienced are you in this role?
I’m a reviewer in the Mellifluous community.
If you are selected today do you promise to stay with us for atleast a time span of 3
months?
Yes.

My Review for Too Enchanting To Be Destroyed

The criteria I’m using below are the ones I use in the Mellifluous Community as well.
I’m not giving through explanation for this is only an interview.

Cover: (9/10) The color scheme could’ve been more detailed to match the
book’s name.
Title: (5/5)
Blurb: (4/5) It didn’t give us a specific POV, but it did cover other parts.
Grammar, Punctuation, and Spelling: (15/20) The punctuation could’ve
been neater near the quotation marks, and commas need to be used well in
necessary areas. I would recommend the use of Grammarly, and eventually,
the author would get the hang of it.
Plot: (10/10)
Character Development: (4/5) It went well, but it could’ve been more
precise in the first few chapters so that we could’ve analyzed the
protagonist’s personality better.
Writing Style: (8/10) Well, the story was a bit rushed. And maybe using a
few gaps and separating the large paragraphs would’ve helped on keeping
attention to detail.
Enjoyment: (4/5) Of course I enjoyed it! With a slight improvement in
grammar, the book would be ‘enchanting’!

Overall: 59/70
Thank you
