SERVICE DESCRIPTIO N

FORTIGATE CLOUD

1. Introduction
FortiGate Cloud™ is a cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), offering a range of management and services for
FortiGate™ products (the “Service”). The Service offers zero touch deployment, configuration management, log
retention, traffic analysis, reporting and analytics without the need for additional hardware, software, or management
overhead.

The Service adapts to different sizes of FortiGate deployments ranging from a single unit to a complete MSSP
management solution with a significant number of units. The FortiGate Cloud web portal provides several benefits
including:
• Simple provisioning of large-scale security, wired, and wireless networks
• Configuration and device management
• Hosted log retention and cloud-based log storage
• Security intelligence and analytics
• Ad hoc and scheduled reporting

The Service includes the Cloud Sandbox feature which is fully described in the then-current Cloud Sandbox service
description made available at https://support.fortinet.com/Information/DocumentList.aspx (the “Cloud Sandbox”).

2. Service Features and Deliverables

The Service is hosted on the FortiCloud service portal whose features, deliverables and terms of use are described in
the then-current FortiCloud service description made available at
https://support.fortinet.com/Information/DocumentList.aspx (the “FortiCloud Service Description”). The terms of the
FortiCloud Service Description are incorporated herein by reference and in the event of a conflict, this service
description shall prevail over the FortiCloud Service Description.

In addition to FortiCloud common service features and deliverables included in the FortiCloud Service Description, a
FortiGate Cloud subscription includes the following features:
• Network overview and status with maps and list views
• Traffic and application visibility through a dashboard view displaying various system and log widgets with real-
time monitors.
• Device configuration management, provisioning, backup, firmware upgrades, scripts management, event
handlers for alerts and group management.
• View near real-time activity with the ability to filter and download logs
• Retention of log files for one (1) year
• Generating reporting with ad hoc and scheduling capability

Service providers or authorized managed security service providers (MSSP) may create a multitenancy environment
through an additional subscription to provide:
• Creation and management of multiple tenants, allowing products to be moved across them.
• Allocation of users to each tenant with access control.

3. Customer Required Contributions and Responsibilities


In addition to the Customer required contributions and responsibilities included in the FortiCloud Service Description,
the customer agrees for the duration of the Service:
• Use active antivirus, antispam, and virus outbreak licenses on appliances that interact with FortiGate Cloud.

The effectiveness of the Service depends on the configuration applied by the Customer on their local platform and the
available bandwidth for communicating the data.

4. Scope and Conditions


In addition to the scope and conditions included in the FortiCloud Service Description, the following terms apply:
• An active FortiCare support contract is required for activation of the service on each product unit.
• In the event that continued provision of the Service to the customer would compromise the integrity or security
of the service, the customer agrees that Fortinet may temporarily limit or suspend the Service to the customer.
• Individual FortiGate devices without a FortiGate Cloud subscription (as outlined in Eligibility & Purchasing) are
subject to automatic operating system updates, made available during the Customer’s preferred local time.
Attaching a subscription to a FortiGate device allows Customers to opt out of automatic updates.
• Failure to renew a service subscription will result in the permanent deletion of all log files seven (7) days
following expiration.
• The Service is available in English or Japanese.

5. Eligibility & Purchasing


The Service is available for purchase by an end-customer including, as the case may be, Fortinet’s authorized MSSPs (the
“Customer”) through authorized Fortinet resellers and distributors (the “Channel Partners”). Channel Partners are
independent third parties that conduct business in their own name and account and, consequently, cannot bind Fortinet
in any way. The Service is delivered to the Customer as referenced in the purchase order placed with Fortinet by a
Customer or Channel Partner. This Service is separate from any purchase of other Fortinet’s products or other services.

The duration of the service is based on the subscription time period from activation in accordance with Fortinet’s
support registration policies, after which the Service will be forfeited without any refund. In no circumstances will the
duration of the Service be extended. All sales are final.

Purchasing Information:
FortiGate Cloud is an annual subscription that may be purchased on a product unit basis only. The Service can be ordered

Where XXXXX is the product model and DD is defined by the number of months it may apply to. Please refer to your
price list to identify the different contract durations.
