The objectives of the Department of Archaeology and National Museum are to safe guard
both the Intangible Cultural Heritage and the Tangible Cultural Heritage, to explore and conserve
the historical evidences and to uplift the museums to become a knowledge center for the public.

Under the Department of Archaeology and National Museum, there are two National
Museums, 10 Archaeological museums, 13 Cultural Museums, 4 Buddhist museums and 2

The museum is one of the institutions where the people can get the knowledge. Its main
objective is to engage visitors in learning experiences to enhance their curiosity and interest on
their objects and collections. Museums are committed to sharing their remarkable resources with
the varieties of objects.

The Museum Education has to be evaluated by using accessibility, accountability and

advocacy. The Museum educators are necessary to achieve the wide knowledge about the display
objects and they also have to be assessed by using accessibility, accountability and advocacy. A
