Begin with a Magic Ring and Ch 1. This is demonstrated in the “Getting Started” Lesson.

Rnd 1 - 5 Sc in the magic ring, Place your stitch marker

Rnd 2 - *2 SC in next st (Referred to as “Inc” for the remainder of this pattern), Repeat around

This is where I like to begin stuffing the body. Add most of your stuffing now, and a bit more
after a couple more rounds.

Sl st to join and cut your yarn leaving a long tail. Follow the class demonstration for sewing the body
shut and weaving in your ends.

FOR THE RUFFLE:

Join your yarn as demonstrated in the video lesson. Ch 1, *Hdc 5 times in the next st, SC in the
next st, Repeat around. Sl St to join, and cut yarn leaving a tail. Sew in ends.

How to Make a Half Double Crochet:

This is very similar to a single crochet. There’s only one extra step. To make a Half Double Crochet,
simply yarn over before inserting the hook in your stitch. Then continue as you would with a single
crochet by yarning over, pulling through the stitch, yarning over again, and pulling through all loops on
the stitch.

Jellyfish Tentacles:
 ch st until you’ve reached the length you like. Cut yarn leaving a long tail
Straight skinny tentacles - ​
for sewing.

Straight wide tentacles - ​ ch st until you’ve reached the length you like. Work in rows using your
favorite stitch until you’ve reached a width you’re happy with. Cut yarn leaving a long tail for sewing.
Curly tentacles - ​ This is demonstrated in the lesson “Making Tentacles”. You can mix it up with a
different number of stitches in your clusters, or different spacing between each cluster, or different
types of stitches.

I encourage you to experiment and include a variety of tentacles to make your jellyfish
unique.

Assembly:

This is demonstrated in the video lesson. Simply choose a place you’d like your tentacle to go,
and sew it to the body of the jellyfish.
