Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Spot Admission

1. The applicants have to appraise themselves of the content of the 'Spot Admission
Guidelines' notified by the SAMARTH and follow it strictly while filling the
application for spot admission.

2. Students without having applied for spot admission on the Samarth

portal are not
eligible for consideration during spot admission.

3. The applications for spot admission will be strictly based on the dynamic vacant seat
matrix as and when available in SAMARTH Portal. Therefore, applicants are advised
to check the DSC-wise vacancy in Gurucharan College before Iocking their choice.
Along with that they are advised to check the List of DSC-wise Closing Percentage
attached to this SOP which shows the closing percentage of marks for each DSC
Programme during the second round of offer of admission in Gurucharan College. The
vacancy matrix and this List together will help the applicants in choice filling in a
judicious manner.

4. Candidates who have applied for spot admission in Gurucharan College through
SAMARTH Portal have to report with the hard copies of their application forms
(Samarth Application Form) in their respective |DSC wise departments within 4 P.M.
on 29th June, 2024. Only those students who receive admission offer are directed to
accept the offer immediately and report with the original as well as photo copies of all
relevant documents for spot verification as per the following schedule from 10 A.M.
to 12 n0on on 30" June 2024

5. DSC-wise Admission will be granted to the candidates based on the Merit Score and
Attendance latest by 12 noon on 30th June, 2024. Cut-off marks for spot admission
willvary DSC subject-wise.
6. Candidates have to complete the admission process by paying the required admission
fees through SAMARTH portal. The Money Receipt auto-generated from the Samarth
Portal is to bepreserved for future reference.
7. Reporting on the scheduled date and time does not guaranty Admission of the
candidate in the College on that date. Spot Admission process for a particular DSC
Subject willcome to halt as soon as all the vacant seats are occupied.
8. Further updatesregarding spot admission in the college will be notified I due course of
time in the college website
9. In case of any dispute, the decision of the Admission Committee headed by the
Principal is binding and final.
