This study is all about attendance in school, which means being present at the time. This study is
also about how attendance affect students academic performance. Students attendance is
significant for a lot of reasons. Studies showing a relationship between attendance and higher
grades demonstrate the major effect that regular attendance has on academic achievement. Thus,
students who attend class regularly are able to prevent losing out on important chances, such as
information about scholarships or test preparation advice (Montauban, N., 2023). Moreover,
findings have been reported by Ehrenberg et al. (1991) and Lamdin (1996), who show that
students who attend more frequently are likely to pass standardized achievement tests more
frequently. At the same time, attending class regularly guarantees that students can expand on the
information and abilities they learned in earlier classes (Rusd, J. D., 2023).
On the other hand, being absent mostly affects students' grades and learning skills. First of all,
since consistent attendance is important for academic achievement, students who do not
regularly attend class will receive low grades. It is because regular absences can lead to
incomplete homework, missing assignments, and a poor comprehension of the subject matter
taught in class. Secondly, students who skip school lose out important learning opportunities,
which can result in a loss of information and abilities. Additional tutoring may be required as a
result, which could be expensive for parents. Thirdly, when absentees come back to class, they
frequently have trouble concentrating and staying focused. They could have trouble keeping up
with the lecture and are easily sidetracked. This may have a detrimental effect on learning
objectives and increase the challenges to their academic success. It can even lead to expulsion of
