This PPT is designed to inform our customers about the external connections of the P20.
As we all know, doctors always like to connect some external equipment, such as external
monitors, printers, USB disks, foot switches, PACS systems, etc.
Now, we'll cover the connection process for these projects above.
•
• External monitor (TV, VGA, HDMI display);
• Printer (USB, video, Windows);
• DICOM connection (sharing files in ultrasound devices);
• PC connection;
• Foot switch connection;
• USB disk, keyboard and mouse connection.

External display (TV, VGA, HDMI)
TV (BNC and S video ports)

For TV monitors, the TV signal is an analog signal; The port we can use is the S video port when we
want to connect to the TV via S video;
We need to do some setup on the P20, we need to prepare the S video cable, then follow below
settings:

Note that if the external monitor has an S-video port,

simply plug the cable into it; If the external display
does not have an S-video port, for example a Philips
display, the male connector must be inserted into the
CVBS port instead of the "L" or "R" port.

Then we need to click Save and Exit, and then

restart the device.

When connecting the unit to a VGA display, the following settings are required:

Select the “VGA option” and “Save and Exit” (the resolution is determined by the resolution of
the display, and the resolution you select on your device must not exceed the resolution of the
external monitor), and then restart the device to complete the setup.
HDMI display (HDMI port)

When we want to connect this machine to the HDMI display;

We need to prepare an HDMI cable first.

Select the desired resolution in the HDMI option, click “Save and Exit”, and then restart the

Printers (USB, Video, Windows)

The printer brands that machines can support are as follows:
• HP (with PCL3, PCL5, PCL6 printing language)

• Sony-UPD Series (UPD897,898)
• Mitsubishi (P95D);
• Canon Selphy 900 and 1200;
USB printer connection

• Get an empty USB disk;
• Printer model;
• Driver (obtained from sooscape Services)

Connection steps (Sony UPX898MD, for example)

Copy the driver to an empty USB disk and change the name of the driver: deskjet;
 Turn on P20 and printer;

 Connect the printer to the USB port of the P20;
 Plug the USB disk with the driver into the USB port;

Select “Settings” and the“ Peripheral option”, “USB Printer” and“ Add Printer”;

 Select Save and Exit.

 Wait for the system to add a printer
 Then when the installation is complete, you can print

the pictures and reports you want.

 First, we need to prepare the printer, remote control cable, S-video cable, and then connect the
printer and machine through the remote control cable and S-video cable, as shown in the
following image;

 Then, in the Peripherals interface, make the

settings as shown in the image above. Once
you've completed these steps, select Save and Exit.
Then you can print the picture as needed.

• Part 1. Printer connection
Connecting the printer to the computer via a local area

network cable (or WIFI);
• Part 2. Install the printer driver
First, you can apply from our engineers for a package

like this,
Then install the printer driver on your computer, run

the printer driver installer, and select a location to
create a shortcut.

As you'll see from the prompts, you'll see this interface, and remember to select Create Desktop
Icons, as shown below:
After you install the printer driver, you'll find a new icon
On the desktop, click the icon to run the program.
The program runs in the background, so when you want to

print some pictures, your PC issues commands to its default
printer to print pictures as needed, and more information about
how to set the printer as the default printer for your PC is as
follows.

 Part 3: Connect the SonoScape color Doppler

to your computer.
Check the local static IP address on the PC,

which will be used during transmission.
You can then go to the ultrasound's system
setup interface and fill in the IP address, network
mask and default gateway. Make sure that the IP
address of the ultrasound belongs to the same
network segment as the PC; The network mask
and default gateway should be the same as your
PC.

After you complete these steps, you can click Ping

and wait a few seconds for the screen to display Ping
Success. If it does not appear, check the connection
between the machines and reset the settings.
Then click Save and Exit.
Press the print key on the machine, and if you do not
operate the computer, the printer agent will
automatically process the order and command the
default printer to print the picture.
Note: The default printer here is the printer on your
PC that has the first priority, not the default printer
for the ultrasound.
For example, we have a PC with a Windows 7 system
where we have a driver for an HP laser printer
installed and set the printer as the default printer
that you can use when you press the Print key on
your computer.

 Part 4: Print
After completing the above procedure, your printer

can print Freeze Images, Stored Images, and
Diagnostic Reports. Pressing the print key on the
machine and not operating the computer, the printer
agent may automatically process the order and
command the default printer to print.

Before you connect, you need to make sure that the DICOM feature is turned on.

• Here are the steps:
• Install ONIS on your PC;

• Connect the P20 to the DICOM server via a LAN
cable, or the P20 and DICOM server via WIFI;
• Once the connection is complete, we need to do
some setup on the DICOM server and P20.
Follow the two screenshots below to set up P20.

In the image above, note that the IP address of the

machine should be in the same IP segment as your PC,
and the network mask and default gateway should be
the same as your PC. After entering this information, you
can ping your PC's IP address and then wait a few
seconds, it will show "Ping successfully", then you can
click "Save and exit" and then need to make some
settings in ONIS;

Then in the MACHINE's "DICOM" interface, you need

to fill in some information,

In the fourth step, if all

settings are correct, "echo
success" will appear on the
screen. Then click "save-exit"
to send the picture to the
DICOM server.

Refresh the server, and if you want to see the picture clearly, double-click the folder
in Step 2, and you'll see the following picture:

In addition, this guide is only for DICOM server ONIS 2.5, for other DICOM servers, they only
use a similar principle, if you have any questions, please contact us.

 When the DICOM local setup is complete, select

DICOM.
 Select MPPS in the DICOM setup interface;
 Ask the hospital for the IP address, port number,
and AE title of the DICOM server.
 When you're done with all of these settings, click
Save and Exit.
 Click Ping and Echo and if the communication
with the DICOM server is successful, the message
"SUCCESS" is notified.

 When the DICOM local setup is complete, select

DICOM.
 Select To-Do List in the DICOM setup interface.
 Ask the hospital for the IP address, port number,
and AE title of the DICOM server.
 After completing all of the above settings, click
Save and exit;
 Click Ping and Echo, and if the communication
with the DICOM server is successful, the message
"SUCCESS" pops up, and you can process the data
to the server through DICOM.

Before you connecting your PC to an ultrasound, you need to prepare a LAN cable, and after you connect both
ends, you need to set up some settings in the ultrasound.
Follow these steps:

address to the same network segment as your PC, the
network mask and default gateway should be the same
as your PC, and then select Save and Exit.

As a first step, you need to click the Start menu icon in your PC and enter the IP address of P20. For
example:
The second step is to enter the IP address of P20 directly into your computer's file browser.
In the third step, press win and R, and then type the IP address in the blank space.
