The script was made for the video
Carlos: Good, good, but, you know, I was wondering for me Ecuador and
Colombia seem to be so the same. Can you tell me how can I distinguish them
or what is the difference between Ecuador and Colombia? Do you know when
you see their flags they look so similar
Felipe: Well I don't think, maybe OK let's say culture is pretty much the same
but let's talk about people OK? Ecuadoreans and Colombians are different I
think. Colombian people are more hard working people. They really, they really
worry about working and earning a lot of money and stuff like that, you know.
But Ecuadoreans are more like, you know, easy-going people so I think that's
the main difference between them.
carlos: That is so interesting. What about climate or the cities or the nature? Is
there any difference between Ecuador and Colombia?
Felipe: Yes, you're right. The climate and environment is quite different. Well,
there is one similarity and it's that they, both countries have their highlands
which is the Andes highlands and the Amazon region and the coastal region but
the size of the countries are different. Colombia is a huge country and also it
has the Caribbean Sea which Ecuador doesn't have. And now if you look at
Ecuador, Ecuador is quite a small country compared to Colombia.
Felipe: Well, lately bilingual education in Colombia has been improving, thanks
to national agreements with foreign institutions for the improvement of the
English area in schools and public educational institutions, although there is still
a large deficit, since many of the schools in Colombia They do not have English
teachers and in many cases, like rural schools, they do not have elements that
facilitate learning such as clean classrooms or internet access.
From my point of view I think that Colombians are more interested in reading
that deals with topics of fashion, money, improving the quality of life, almost
literature is not much liked by Colombians although we have a novel award for
literature that It was Gabriel Garcia Marques with his book cien años de
Soledad.
Felipe: Well if you, yes there are many similarities. For example, if you look at
the food, mainly the food is composed of, you know, potatoes and corn and
many fruits that both countries have so if you travel to Colombia, if you travel to
Ecuador, you will pretty much find the same kind of food because it's made of
the same, from the same kind of ingredients.
Carlos: OK, perfect. So now I have a better idea of the differences and some
similarities over Ecuador and Colombia. Thank you, Felipe.

Conclusion:
Finally I was able to create a podcast from my point of view it has always
been difficult because I have a good level of English but my voice is not
good and some words in English are difficult for me. I have a mouth problem
that makes me mispronounce some words in English and Spanish. I'm
working on this, but I feel happy because I was able to use my imagination
and all the strategies that I learned in this course and I was also able to. to
show my ability to create a meaningful story where I was able to
demonstrate two cultures that I know. I love Colombia and Ecuador very
much because I was in Ecuador a year ago.
