ANTIOXIDANT
CHINOX 168
Hydrolytically Stable Processing Stabilizer for Polymers
Properties Structure :
C(CH3)3
(H3C)3C O P

Advantage ▪ Extends performance of primary antioxidants e.g. Chinox 1010 or Chinox 1076
▪ Highly compatible with a wide range of organic substrates
▪ Improvement long-term stability of polymers
▪ Low volatility
▪ Maintenance of original melt flow
▪ Prevents discoloration
▪ Protects polymers from chain scission and cross-linking
▪ Excellent resistance to hydrolysis
Application Chinox168 acts as a processing stabilizer in polymers to help control their color
degradations and melt flow.
Chinox 168 is particularly useful in the stabilization of polyolefins and olefinic
copolymers such as PE, PP, EVA and polybutenes when used in conjunction with a
phenolic antioxidant.
Chinox 168 can also be used to stabilize polyester, polycarbonates, polyamides,
polystyrenes, ABS, SAN, natural and synthetic tackifier resins, elastomers such as
BR, SEBS, SBS, and other organic substrates.
Dosage: The typical loading concentrations is recommended in the range between
0.05% and 0.25% once combined with appropriate levels of other antioxidants.
Loading levels will vary depending on substrates and processing conditions. Exact
dosage must be determined by compositions of specific polymer system.
Storage This product may be stored up to two years in a sealed in a cool, dry place. Extended
storage at elevated temperature or exposure to direct heat or sunlight could reduce
shelf life. Keep containers sealed when not in use.
