Throughout the year, students will be given the opportunity to explore issues of faith and identify what it means to live an authentic to Catholic life,
inspired by the example of Christ. Units will be based on Experimental Learning through Inquiry using sound theological content in light of Scripture
and the rich living Tradition that is the Catholic faith. Students will be encouraged to apply critical thought and relate information to a variety of
contemporary contexts.

This semester students developed knowledge, understanding and skills in the areas of Number and Algebra. They have learned about Computation
with Integers, Fractions, Decimals, and Percentages, Financial Mathematics, Algebraic Expressions, Indices and Equations and Rates and Ratios.
Students used different communication techniques in the presentation of mathematical understanding and reasoning, including written tasks, PBL’s,
post-tests and portfolios of work.

In Semester One, students identified and developed strategies used to promote health and wellbeing and effectively manage their own personal
health, safety, and wellbeing. Through the development of self-management skills, students developed strategies on how to keep themselves and
others safe. Students examined rights and responsibilities in a range of relationships and developed skills to maintain safe and respectful
relationships.

This semester students have planned and managed the production of a design solution using a range of tools, materials and processes in the
production of a quality project for an engineered or agriculture and food designated product. In addition, students have developed a design and
production folio documenting evidence of their developed criteria to evaluate their design ideas, used graphical (drawings and sketches) techniques
to represent their design ideas and evaluation of their design solution.

Animals and Insects: A structural investigation of drawing animals and Insects as well as the formal qualities that can be applied to drawing in
various mediums to create expressive depictions of both animals and insects.
Into the Comic Verse: An investigation into the practice of art through comics. Students within this unit will continue to develop their artmaking.
