Throughout the year, students will be given the opportunity to explore issues of faith and identify what it means to live an authentic Catholic life,
inspired by the example of Christ. Units will be based on Experiential Learning through Inquiry using sound theological content in light of Scripture
and the rich living Tradition that is the Catholic faith. Students will be encouraged to apply critical thought and relate information to a variety of
contemporary contexts.

This semester students developed knowledge, understanding and skills in the areas of Number, Algebra, Measurement and Geometry, and
Statistics and Probability. They have learned about Measurement and Pythagoras’ Theorem, Data collection, representation and analysis, angle
relationships and geometrical figures, linear relationships and transformations. Students used different communication techniques in the
presentation of mathematical understanding and reasoning, including written tasks, PBL’s, post-tests and portfolios of work.

Keyboard Studies & Rock Music – Throughout the semester, students will be introduced to the world of the keyboard and Rock history. Students
are given opportunities to develop their technique of playing the keyboard, simultaneously expanding the musical foundation established in Year 7.
Music & the Media & Australian Music. This unit examines the characteristics of Music in the Media in context with Australian Music.

In Semester Two, students investigated the impact of risk taking behaviour by using the decision making model to assess risk and subsequent
consequences. Students proposed strategies to reduce risk and to limit their exposure to risky situations. Students developed knowledge and
understanding of diversity and inclusion for individuals and the community.

construction of a quality project for an engineered or agriculture and food designated product. In addition, students have developed a design and
production folio documenting evidence of production skills and evaluation of their design solution.
