Handbook PCC International Virtual Piano and Violin

Competition 2022

Welcome to Handbook PCC International Virtual Piano and Violin Competition 2022! This
book will provide you with necessary guidance on how to participate in our competition.
Everything written in this book must be followed by all participants.

RULES & REGULATIONS

1. PCC International Virtual Piano & Violin Competition 2022 is open to all participants of
any nationality, state or country.
2. By submitting the first registration form, participants agree to the handbook that the
PCC team has provided. The PCC Team and the judges will not take any
responsibilities if a problem is caused by the disobedience of the participants.
3. Age of participants is determined on July 7, 2022.
4. Participants may participate in more than one category.
5. Perform one of our repertoire list :
- Regular Piano except Senior Category and Young Talented Pianist
- Violin except Senior Category
6. All Participants must memorize their piece. Repeat signs do not need to be
repeated,except for DC and DS signs.
7. All videos have to be uploaded on Youtube platform. All participants will receive the
youtube link submission by email.
8. Participants are only allowed to submit the youtube link once. Any resubmission
will not be accepted.
9. The registration process will be considered as incomplete if participants do not submit
the payment receipt and the YouTube link. The PCC Team are not taking any
responsibilities for any incomplete registration process.
10. Every participant will be judged personally based on their own performance and
capabilities.
11. Decisions of the judges are final and can not be changed.
12. The e-certificate and e-personal assessment will be emailed to all participants. Medal
awards will be given to the Winners, Distinguished Achievers and Rising Star
achievers. There will be an additional charge for shipping.
13. The video of the 1st Prize Winner from each category will be later published as our
Virtual Concert on YouTube.
14. Cash Prizes will be awarded to the 1st Prize Winner from each category.
15. Judging Period July 7-9, 2022.
16. The Result will be announced on July 18, 2022.
Registration
1. The registration will be divided into 3 processes. To officially join the competition,the
participants have to fill in 3 forms. The first form (F1) will collect necessary data from
the participants. The second form (F2) will be payment receipt submission and the
third form (F3) will be youtube link submission.
2. If the participants do not complete the F1-form, F2-form and F3-form, the PCC team
has the right to withdraw the participant from the competition.
3. All forms must be filled completely and accurately.
4. The participants have to follow instructions from the coming email to complete the
registration.
5. Participants must submit their registration using Google Form from our Instagram :
@pcc.bdg (Click Bio IG link)
- The closing date for F1-form (birth certificate,recent photograph) : June 12,
2022
- The closing date for F2-form (payment receipt) : June 15, 2022
- The closing date for F3-form (youtube link a.k.a video submission): June 18,
2022
6. Once the participants fill in the F1-form, they will receive an email notification that
gives them a reference number and the payment method instruction. The
participant will also get the F2-form link and F3-form link. The participant should get
the email at the latest 1 day after the registration. If not, please contact us as soon as
possible.
7. Any payment that happened before registration (F1-form) will not be accepted.
8. After completing F1-form, the participant is required to submit the payment receipt
(F2-form) in 3 days. Extra administrative fee (IDR 50.000) will be charged for any
late submission.
9. All Registration Fee is NON REFUNDABLE.

- Little Beginner (4-6 years old) : IDR 400.000


- Beginner (6-8 years old) : IDR 450.000
- Preparatory (8-10 years old) : IDR 500.000
- Elementary (10-12 years old) : IDR 550.000
- Junior A (12-14 years old) : IDR 600.000
- Junior B (14-17 years old) : IDR 650.000
- Senior (>= 17 years old) : IDR 700.000

- Little Beginner (<= 7 years old) : IDR 400.000


- Beginner (6-9 years old) : IDR 450.000
- Preparatory (8-11 years old) : IDR 500.000

Young Talented Pianist
1. Russian Romantic Award ( 6 – 9 years old )
Maximum duration : 3 minutes
Participants have to choose and play a piece from a Russian composer born after
1800.
2. Sonatina Award ( 9 – 12 years old )
Maximum duration : 4 minutes
Participants have to choose and play a first movement sonatina from a composer
born before 1800.
3. Baroque Award ( 12 – 15 years old )
Maximum duration : 5 minutes
Participants have to choose and play a movement from the Baroque period.
4. Romantic Award ( 15 – 18 years old )
Maximum duration : 6 minutes
Participants have to choose and play a whole piece or a movement from a composer
born between 1800-1900.
Video Recording Procedures

1. Video must be taken as efficiently as possible.


Before playing participants must take a bow and introduce themselves:

“ Hi,my name ….., I participate in the PCC International Virtual Piano and Violin
Competition 2022. ”

2. Video must be taken by mobile phone only at home/music school without editing.
Professional studio recording is not allowed and editing is not accepted.
3. Video must be recorded in one take,one angle only and no cutting.
4. Participant’s face,full body and fingers must be clearly visible.
5. Camera must be in landscape position.
6. Video must be recorded in MP4 format and have a good enough quality.
7. No professional cameras & recording.
8. Regular Piano and Young Talented Pianist Category: Recording must be made on
acoustic piano.
Violin Category: Recording must be made on acoustic violin.
9. Dress Code : semi formal / smart casual.
10. The PCC team will only accept the video that contains the participant playing
the repertoire that has been chosen during the registration in F1. If the video
does not contain the appropriate contents, the PCC team and the judges have
the right to withdraw the participants from the competition.

How To Upload Video To Youtube and Video URL Submission

1. Open the web browser,for example Firefox.


2. Go to www.youtube.com, and you will be directed to the official youtube site.
3. - If you have a Google account for GMAIL,click the Sign In button at the top right as
shown in the video.
- If you don’t have a GMAIL account,you have to create a GMAIL account first.Your
youtube account will be connected automatically when you successfully create a
GMAIL account.
4. Click the Sign In button at the top right.
5. Enter your Gmail address,and then click next.
6. Enter your Gmail password,click next,then you have successfully entered your
youtube account.
7. Click your user account logo at the top right corner.
8. Go to the Youtube Studio to upload your video.
9. Click the blue button to upload the video.
10. Click “select files” to access the video.
11. Select the participant’s video. Your video will be in the uploading process.
12. Fill in a title (Format can be seen at the link listed below).
13. Turn off the comments and likes columns as in the video,click next.
14. Click next again to select Visibility. Based on the agreement between the jury and the
committee,we decided to choose the Unlisted feature.(the video can only be
accessed if someone has the link).Click save.
15. From here you can copy the video link that you have uploaded fill in the youtube link
form from our instagram : @pcc.bdg (click bio IG link)
