1. Introduction

This Method of Statement (MOS) details the procedure for the installation of domestic kitchen appliances,
including stoves, hoods, ovens, built-in fridges, ice makers, and coffee machines, at the Shura Island Villas.
All appliances are electrical and intended for use in domestic kitchens.

2. Purpose

The purpose of this MOS is to ensure the correct, safe, and efficient installation of kitchen appliances in
compliance with the project specifications and manufacturer's guidelines.

3. Scope

This MOS covers the installation of the following electrical kitchen appliances in the villas at Shura Island:
- Stove
- Hood
- Oven
- Built-in fridge
- Ice maker
- Coffee machine

7. Safety Precautions

9. Installation Procedure

9.1 Pre-Installation Checks

1. **Verify Appliance Locations:**


- Confirm the locations for each appliance as per the design layout.
- Ensure electrical outlets and connections are in place and meet the specifications.

2. **Check Electrical Supply:**


- Verify that the electrical supply is in accordance with the appliance requirements.
- Ensure that circuit breakers and wiring are appropriate for the load.

9.2 Installation of Stove

1. **Positioning:**
- Place the stove in its designated location.
- Ensure it is level using a spirit level.

2. **Electrical Connection:**
- Connect the stove to the electrical outlet as per the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Secure the appliance to prevent movement.

3. **Testing:**

9.4 Installation of Oven

9.5 Installation of Built-in Fridge

Stove and Oven:


1. Position appliances in allocated spaces.
2. Secure appliances to cabinetry or walls as needed.
3. Connect to electrical supply (ensure correct voltage and current).
4. If gas-powered, connect to the gas supply and check for leaks using soapy water.
5. Test operation (turn on briefly to check functionality).

Hood:
