ABOUT WAVES

Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani- K.K Birla Goa Campus has cemented its
name as one of the premier educational institutions in the country. Established in 2004,
the institution has gone on to foster the development of some of the most talented
students in India and now boasts of alumni that have achieved excellence in their
respective fields.

Waves is BITS Goa's inter-college cultural fest and is one of the most highly anticipated
fests in the country. It has seen an exponential growth in the number of attendees and is
one of India's fastest growing fests. Over the years, Waves has catapulted itself to the
epitome of cultural brilliance, with previous years featuring performances by Farhan
Akhtar, Amit Trivedi, Nucleya, Shankar Mahadevan, Priyanka Chopra, Vidya Balan, Kalki
Kochlein, and more have graced the fest. Expanding its horizon, Waves has also played
host to concerts by various international artistes like Diego Miranda and Quintino (Both DJ
Mag Rated Top 100 DJs). In 2012, Waves was the proud host to an official pre-Sunburn
Event, the electro-dance music festival that has been a rage all over the country.

Waves being one of India's largest inter-college cultural fests believes that it is one of its
responsibilities to look into the social welfare of the society. We have started numerous
initiatives to help uplift the underprivileged in and around our campus in Goa. Waves
strives to stamp its name as not only one of the largest cultural fest in the country but
also as a multicultural event with an evident noble compass.
