Subject: Procurement of electrical junction boxes to be used for lighting arrangement in underground
tunnels in NTPC Rammam

Nature of Item Electrical Junction boxes

Indent Type To be procured through GeM
Requirement of installation of lighting fixtures is there in Adit-1&2 and HRT
areas to provide area lighting in the site areas in the absence of main
contractor. Further, regular dewatering activities are in progress.

For installation of lighting fixtures, junction boxes shall be required to

maintain electrical safety. Approximately 50 no of junction boxes shall fulfill
Justification our requirement to illuminate the underground tunnel area.

Thus, the suitable product (junction box) was explored in GeM.

Since the total cost of the product is less than Rs.100000.00/-, order in GeM
can be given by indenting department through compare and buy option in
GeM. The payment shall be made through regularizing PO.

Price on Gem Portal for 1 no Junction box is Rs.1410.00/-.
