The main goals of c onservationists are to safeguard
an already diminishing population of species from
further dec line ( i.e., protection)

Preservation shields the environment from

destruc tive human ac tivity. Preservation would
mean designating the entire forest, or parts of it, as
no-human zones, like in a Nature Reserve.

The goal of rebuilding ac tivities is to either

replic ate the ec osystem before it was disturbed or
to c reate a new ec osystem where there wasn’t one.
