1. Describe a person who has been an important influence in your life?

When it comes to an important influence person, the first person that

comes to my mind is my high school teacher, Mrs. Hanh. I have known
her since I was born and she became my English teacher in grade 10.
I chose Mrs. Hanh because of her remarkable ability to inspire and
motivate her students, including myself. Her passion for teaching was
evident in every class, and she had a knack for recognizing and nurturing
potential in her students.
Mrs. Hanh has influenced my life in several profound ways. Firstly, she
instilled in me a love for reading and writing. Before her class, I saw
these activities merely as school requirements, but she helped me see
them as avenues for personal expression and exploration.
Secondly, Mrs. Hanh taught me the importance of critical thinking and
open-mindedness. She encouraged discussions and debates in class,
always pushing us to consider different viewpoints and question our
assumptions. This approach has shaped my analytical skills and made me
more empathetic and understanding of others' perspectives.
I have immense respect and admiration for Mrs. Johnson. She is not
only an exceptional teacher but also a compassionate and dedicated
individual who genuinely cares about the well-being and success of her
students. Her influence has been a cornerstone in my development, and I
am incredibly grateful for the impact she has had on my life.

2. Describe a famous person you would like to meet

In my to-meet list, there are so many famous person who I’m very much
interested in and dream to meet. The person I would like to talk today,
she’s a country music singer, Taylor Swift.
I could start off by saying that she is just impeccable. She is not only a
popular singer but also a talented song writer. Well, with a sweet and
amazing voice, she is the first female artist has won Grammy Award for
Album Of The Year twice, which is extremely prestigious and noble. In
addition to a singer, she is renowned as a musician with an innate ability.
She always loves writing songs about her own life. Perhaps, for this
reason, her songs are so inspiring and vivid, which always
cheer me up whenever I feel down in the dumps.
And I shouldn’t forget to mention that all the time, she looks gorgeous
like an angel in dresses, which helps her earn the title “The princess of
the country music”. Something else I need to comment on is that she is
very kind-hearted and sympathetic. You know, she founded a charitable
organization which raises funds to support poor children in the third
world.
You know, properly I can never forget a compliment on her personality in
a magazine,
which said that: “Swift radiates her kindness wherever she goes”. That’s
all I can say about my beloved idol.

3. Describe a person who likes to dress fashionably

Honestly speaking, I want to talk about my beautiful auntie, Mrs. Hoai,
who is a business woman.
I love her style for some reasons. First, it is her smart choice of wearing
clothes. Needless to say, she is very well-dressed and as a working
woman, she always chooses classy clothes. She sometimes has some
items of accessory as a special feature for her outfit. Although they may
be bought in sale season, but my auntie knows how to mix with suitable
clothes and then she has a totally timeless look, which I cannot keep my
eyes off.
Second, she has an undeniable alluring style, which does not come from
her clothes or accessories she wears on her body but the inborn fresh look
in every situation. That is the key thing that makes her look exquisite in
most kinds of outfit, from designer clothes to casual ones. Whenever I go
out with her, I feel extremely proud as my aunt often dresses simple but
very stunning. I really admire her style and I wish I can have a good taste
for fashion to look stylish like her.

4. Describe a person to whom you are very close in your family

Wow, to talk about the person to whom I am closest in my family, I
would like to mention my mother, who plays a crucial role in my life. She
is not just my mom, she is also my idol, my best friend and also my
consultant.
I adore her because she is such a kind-hearted, caring and loving
person in the family. As you know, I live in a nuclear family with four
members, my parents, my little brother and me; therefore, my mom will
have more time to look after each member more carefully, both in terms
of physical health and emotions. Honestly, she isthe one I can share
everything without any hesitation. Whenever I have any problems or
sadness or happiness, mom is always the first person that I talk to. She
always cheers me up, gives me pieces of valuable advice and encourage
me to look on the bright side everytime I feel depressed.
Moreover, my mom is also a responsible citizen and she fulfills her
duty at work very well. (Example) I guess there must be pressure at her
workplace and I know that she has to work really hard to support the
whole family but I can hardly hear her complain. Her determination and
strong- willed characteristics have set a good example for me and that is
also the thing that I have to remind myself so that I can be such a
wonderful person like her.

5. Describe a person who is beatiful or handsome

I’d like to tell you about my crush, who is probably the most
handsome guy on earth that I know. We used to study in the same high
school, but now he is pursuing his medical career in HCMC, while I am
specializing in education in Hanoi. Though we are working in two
separate parts of the country, I still have a deep crush on him.
Back in my high school days, he was a total catch and every girl
showed their affection for him, and of course, I was not the exception.
The thing which made me into him so much was definitely his bright
smile. Whenever my crush smiled, he always looked cuter, more
charming and more lovable. And it is no exaggeration to say that his
genuine smile could really lighten up my day. What’s more, the way he
spoke in gentle tones with me truly melted my heart. He seemed to have a
good sense of style and was able to express his individuality through
everything he wore, from his shoes to his jacket. His clothes were not
expensive, I guess, but they looked perfectly appropriate for his body
type.
Because of the long distance, I don’t get to see him face-to-face
regularly. Actually, we only meet once a year during the annual alumni
reunion festival at my high school. However, we still keep in touch with
each other via Facebook Messenger.
6. Describe a character from a film
Today, I'm going to talk about the character of Tony Stark from the
Marvel Cinematic Universe, played by Robert Downey Junior. As I
remember, I first saw Tony Stark in the 2008 film Iron Man, and I've
been a fan of his ever since.
In this movie, Tony Stark is a genius, billionaire, playboy,
and philanthropist. He's also a self-made man who is incredibly
intelligent and has a knack for inventing and engineering. On top of
that, he's a bit of a showman, often using his wealth and charisma to get
what he wants. Inside his world, Tony is known as a rebel, often going
against the grain and doing things his own way.
Actually, Tony Stark is a complex character. He's often seen as a hero,
but he also has a dark side. He's often reckless, impulsive, and
even selfish at times. To some characters, he comes across as a loner,
who often pushes those who care about him away. Despite his flaws,
Tony Stark is a character that I find very interesting.
To tell the truth, I love Tony Stark because he's
a complicated and imperfect character who is still trying to do the right
thing. He's a character that is constantly evolving and growing, and I
think that is something that we can all relate to.

7. Describe a historic place that you know about

In Hanoi, there’s a place that I absolutely love to talk about whenever
history is mentioned. It’s the Long Bien bridge, built over the Red River
nearly two centuries ago by the French, who colonized my country during
that period.
It’s one of the links between the central part of Hanoi and the east side
of the city. Because the bridge is so old, it has been in place to witness
many crucial events in Hanoi’s history. Long Bien had been fixed many
times when it was bombed during the war, and afterward, when we
constructed more modern bridges for dense motor traffic, this bridge
became for cyclists and pedestrians only.
Nowadays, the Long Bien is seldom taken by commuters, but it doesn’t
feel any less important. It actually has a role in adorning the landscape of
Hanoi since it is so photogenic. The scenery on the Red River becomes
livelier with it, so you can understand why some consider Long Bien to
be Hanoi’s signature landmark.
For me, this bridge is also a part of my life because it’s my favorite spot
to cycle. I can’t remember since when I’ve felt an attachment to this
place. The Long Bien is certainly ancient by today’s standards, which is
why I believe the government should spend some money maintaining it.
But at the same time, the work should be done in a way that allows the
bridge to retain its structural beauty.

8. Describe a place in a village that you visited

I don’t have a lot of memories traveling, since I am a homebody and
prefer to stay put if I can help it. However, a destination really stands out
among the rare occasions that I actually go on trips. It is a local market in
Sapa, which is a small town in the mountainous area of northern Vietnam.
I visited Sapa 2, 3 years ago, I believe, to see the snow that is, you know,
quite few and far between in our tropical country. During our stay, we
stopped by an outdoor market where locals usually buy an assortment of
goods. It was a particularly intriguing and new experience to me.
The first thing I’d like to mention is that the market was a stark
difference compared to what I was used to seeing in the city. Hordes of
locals were walking around in their traditional attires, which were
incredibly colorful and brightened up the whole atmosphere. Around you
were all sorts of products, like from special clothing items to fresh
ingredients that could not be found elsewhere. But what really attracted
me was the collection of traditional ornaments and handicrafts there.
After walking around a few stalls, I decided to buy a scarf with distinct
tribal patterns and some local souvenirs for my family, all of which were
good bargains.
All in all, I was glad to visit the market since it offered a chance for me
to interact with the very welcoming people in Sapa and immerse myself
in an authentic, local environment. For a city girl born and raised like me,
the market was a definite eye-opening experience. Besides, I could also
support the local communities by buying souvenirs and gifts. If there’s a
chance, I would love to revisit this place.

9. Describe a quiet place you like to go

Today I'd like to tell you about Hoi An, where I went to grieve my
mother's passing. I got to say that it's the best place to feel great comfort
in the peace it provides where I can listen to my inner voice.
Exactly five months, I badly needed a place to escape and clear my
head after months of helping my mother fight cancer, and we lost. Hoi An
was the closest place where I could simply hop on the plane, and two
hours later, I could be there. So I simply packed my back, booked a
ticket, and left Hanoi with a heavy heart.
Hoi An greeted me with hospitable people and tranquility. I was lucky
to go there during off-peak season, so it was less crowded than the last
time I went there with friends. It was just what I needed. I aimlessly
strolled around the ancient streets and cycled through the countryside
alone. I experienced rural Vietnamese living firsthand and saw a lot of
lush vegetable gardens, and vast duck ponds.
After Covid, the place was deserted. I talked to local farmers about the
pandemic, its effects, and other things in life too. I slowly realized maybe
all suffering would eventually end. My mother's now free from pain and
any hardship that we experienced.
I didn't know how but two weeks in Hoi An had this healing power that
I didn't know existed. Maybe because the slow pace of life there helps me
think clearly, talking to local farmers about life generally, or being close
to nature eases my sorrow. So if anyone asks me for a place to clear one's
head, Hoi An is one of the options I would strongly recommend.

10. Describe a place where people go to listen to music

I am going to tell you about a famous music pub I frequently visit. It is
a place named Polygon, which is located in a hidden corner of Cat Linh
street.
I first knew of this place through my close friend, who was a big fan of
live music. Instead of playing just one genre, this pub offers a wide
variety of styles depending on the artists they invite each day. The bands
there mostly play western pop, but on special occasions there were also
jazz and ballad nights.
As far as I know, this place is a hotspot for youngsters who have a taste
for band music.
Some are here to have a drink with friends while bobbing their heads to
the music, some simply need a place to dance the night away. Personally,
I love seeing talented artists singing their heart out on stage.
Regarding what impressions I have of this pub, I would describe it as a
place of freedom. It is where strangers can easily connect with each other
through music. The audience can take the stage if they want to, and artists
can improvise a tune when someone makes a request. Furthermore, if you
are looking for a place to impress your date, this will be an ideal choice.
I would highly recommend this pub to anyone who is interested in band
music.

11. Describe a resraurant you enjoyed going to

On the first day of a month in the lunar calendar, my family always
visits Vi Lai restaurant as we have a tradition of eating vegetarian food.
Although I don't remember where exactly it is located, I think it's around
Ly Thuong Kiet street.
The food there is excellent as the vegetables are prepared in different
ways. One of my favorite appetizers is the mushroom soup which
contains ingredients like chestnuts or bottom mushrooms. It's a little bit
salty, blended with a light sweetness. After that, when my family moves
on to the main dish, we often order the signature salad there. The
components like pickled radish, gong cai vegetable, and lotus petiole are
nicely mixed with a combination of sourness and sweetness.
Another dish that I'm pretty much into is the bamboo shoot rolls there.
I can see the thin slices of the bamboo shoot wrap fillings including tofu
and lotus roots. When the dish is served, the fried rolls look mouth -
watering and all of the members do enjoy this.
Apart from the food in this restaurant, the employees are also
professional as they never let us wait for more than 2 minutes, even on
their busiest day, so I do appreciate them a lot. Furthermore, when we
first experienced the service, the employees gave my family a lot of
useful advice on what dishes we should eat together, which is the
determinant that makes me want to come back.
Personally speaking, if anyone asks me about a place to eat vegetarian
food, I will recommend Vi Lai restaurant to them as the quality is superb.
12. Describe a modern building you have visited
One of the most impressive modern buildings in Ho Chi Minh City is
Landmark 81, located in the new urban area of Binh Thanh District. This
iconic skyscraper is the tallest building in Vietnam and one of the tallest
in Southeast Asia.
Landmark 81 has a unique and elegant design, inspired by the shape of
bamboo, a traditional symbol of Vietnamese culture. The exterior is
covered in glass and steel, giving it a modern and futuristic appearance.
The tower has 81 floors, including a shopping centre, offices, apartments,
and a hotel. The observation deck offers breathtaking panoramic views of
Ho Chi Minh City and the surrounding areas.
This magnificent building is primarily used for commercial and
residential purposes, attracting visitors from all over the world with its
impressive height and stunning architecture. It has become a landmark of
Ho Chi Minh City, representing the city’s rapid growth and
modernization.
Personally, I like Landmark 81 because of its special design and
impressive height. The tower adds to the city’s vibrant skyline, making it
a true symbol of Vietnam’s economic and technological progress.
Additionally, the tower’s observation deck shows stunning views of the
city, providing a memorable experience for visitors. However, some
people may dislike Landmark 81 for its impact on the environment and
the city’s traditional neighbourhoods. The tower’s massive size and
modern design may not fit in with the surrounding areas, causing
concerns about urban development and cultural preservation.

13. Describe a public place that you think needs improvement

Most people will be aware that inquiries about public restrooms are
the most commonly posed by visitors when they travel. It is sometimes
taken for granted, yet it plays a crucial role in promoting a city’s image
and boosting the visiting experience. There are a number of public
restrooms in Hanoi. However, many of them are now deteriorating,
filthy, and emitting foul odors. We believe this is mostly due to
inadequate cleaning. Some toilets lack adjacent waste paper bins.
Additionally, many sewage systems cannot manage toilet issues.
Some public restrooms are inhabited by drug users as well. As a result,
both the number and quality of these public restrooms have failed to
fulfill sanitary standards, notably those of visitors. In addition, the lack
of land and funds, as well as sloppy administration, contribute to the
issue. When traveling through this location, I must hold my breath.
Although I have never used these public restrooms, I am certain they
lack the amenities necessary to promote correct usage.
I am adamant that the government, particularly the Vietnam National
Administration of Tourism, should renovate the present public bathrooms
at tourist destinations and establish more contemporary ones with needed
amenities, clean water around the clock, and in the proper location.
Residents should be made aware of the significance of maintaining
Vietnam’s beautiful image. As soon as they take action, public urinating
will immediately reduce. We cannot allow the shortage of bathrooms to
degrade the image of Vietnam in the eyes of visitors.

14. Describe a toy you received when you were a child

Everyone has a childhood toy that they are emotionally attached to,
well, I am not an exception. To give you the context, when I was 7, I was
in love with a set of kitchen toys. It was a pack of kitchen tools like a
kettle, a pan, several plates, and cups; oh, forks and a knife also went
with the package. Although I liked it, I didn’t ask my parents for it
because I knew our financial condition was not stable. We had to tighten
our belts so as not to slump at the end of the month.
Surprisingly, on my birthday, my parents gave me the toy package. I
was certainly floating on air at that moment, knowing that I had owned
my desired plaything and realizing they had dug deep into their pockets
just to meet my wants.
About the plastic kitchen set, it was in hot pink. Well, hot colors have
always attracted me in an instant, so it shouldn't be strange when my full
attention was caught.
After having the kitchen kit, I started to invite friends for my
imaginary tea party or dinner. I even make fake pearls and legos as my
cooking ingredients to make the food.
Come to think of it, it was my favorite toy as I usually took it out to
play the most mainly because I could call the neighbor kids to come
over. I still keep the set until this day, but then I gave it to my niece when
she reached 4 since I also want her to sense the joy that I had years ago.

15. Describe a book you need that you enjoy reading

To tell the truth, as opposed to my nerdy appearance, I have never
been a book enthusiast. I don’t really experience joy in the process of
sitting still and staring at thick pages for hours, thus, I hardly ever read.
Nonetheless, there is one book that I actually take pleasure in reading. It
is called “Dear girls”, written by the one and only, my favorite stand-up
comedian, Ali Wong.
I learned about this book last month through 2 of Ali Wong’s Netflix
comedy special hits, “Baby Cobra” and “Hard Knock Wife”.
Unfortunately, since Ali did the show when she was pregnant with her
second daughter, after the show, she was absent from the stage for a few
months. While waiting for her comeback, I decided to give her book a
shot. Much as I hate reading, for the love of Ali, I managed to place an
order, sit down and spend my time on a 200-page book.
And thankfully, the book lives up to my expectations. “Dear girls” is
in fact a well-prepared letter to Ali’s daughters when they get older. It is
filled with Ali’s life experience, covering everything a girl needs to know
in life. Ali interpreted the world in such a unique way, she gave out her
unfiltered thoughts on marriage, Asian culture, working women, and so
on. The book was absurdly funny, surprisingly moving, enlightening, and
also disgusting as expected from Ali. I believe that this book will be most
suitable for people who would enjoy something out of the ordinary or
simply have a big laugh.
Even though I haven’t got the time to finish the whole book, I believe
it has made reading more pleasant than ever before.

16. Describe a modern piece of technology you own

So, just to give you a heads-up, I’m no technophile and I couldn’t care
less about electronic devices, to be honest. However, an item that’s gifted
for me by my friends really piqued my interest lately is a robot vacuum
and I’ll brief you about it today.
This robot vacuum that took me by storm was actually brought by my
brother, who was sick and tired of cleaning our four-storey house. Since
my immediate family is pretty large, ensuring that our living
environment is tidy and neat is quite quintessential, which makes
cleaning almost a daily chore to most of our family’s dismay.
Hence, my brother took this matter into his own hands and ordered a
small robot vacuum home two months ago. At first, I was skeptical about
how helpful it would be, and only when my brother taught me what
buttons to press to get the autonomous machine running and where to
place the charging dock so it’d be robot-accessible, did I become less
resistant to this technology.
By now, I can say that despite being a new addition in our household
equipment collection, the robot vacuum is, in short, a life saver! First, it
has an eye-pleasing streamlined design and is surprisingly user-friendly,
as even my parents who literally need years to warm up to their
smartphones could also use it after two months. In addition, it really
exceeds our expectations when it comes to floor-cleaning.
It can not only dispose of dust and other debris in our home, but also
avoid potential obstacles and automatically reroute itself around them. It
has impressive battery life, along with the convenient feature in which I
can set up a certain schedule for the bot to wake up and fulfil its cleaning
routine. I consider this the best function of this machine because it helps
me and my family to clean up everything even when we’re out of the
house.
With this robot vacuum, we have additional time to rest instead of
spending hours on end sweeping and mopping the four floors of our
house after work. Albeit expensive, I’d recommend it to anyone who
wants a liberating machine.

17. Describe something you bought that you really like

Talking about this topic, I would like to share with you guys my game
changer in the cooking process. It is an air fryer, which is worth every
penny of mine.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the advertisement for it popped up
on every social media site of mine. As I was bored stiff, the air fryer was
bought on the spur of the moment. This piece of equipment comes from
Philips - a well-known company for manufacturing top-notch household
appliances. Basically, it works like an oven; however, it is more
convenient and user-friendly. This air fryer does not take up much space,
which does wonders for a small kitchen. There are a host of reasons why
it is on my favorite list of products right now: First of all, I am a health-
conscious person, so I always go for healthy options, including fried food
that is not fried in deep oil. Thanks to this air fryer, my weight loss
journey was much easier.
On the plus side, it is easy to clean, which makes the oven pale in
comparison with the air fryer. As a full-time worker, who is usually
snowed under with work, cooking is obviously not my top priority;
therefore, the optimal choice would be letting ingredients into the air
fryer so that I could have a scrumptious yet quick meal. In the morning, I
just need to take the bread from the fridge and have it cooked in this air
fryer. You can even feel the aroma of freshly baked bread while it is
inside.
This is definitely one of the most satisfying products that I have ever
bought since it does not involve complex operations and the maintenance
procedures are easy to follow.

18. Describe a story about space (real or fictitious) that you have read about
or seen in a film or on TV
I would like to tell a story about space from a movie I just watched last
weekend. It was not a blockbuster or anything, just a random sci-fi
movie I found online. The movie is set in the future, revolving around a
group of people – astronauts, scientists, and engineers – going on
a .mission to harness the Sun. In the year 3000, planet Earth will run out
of energy, the planetary sources are no longer sufficient to meet the
demand of humans activities, and our next and only remaining source of
energy is the Sun. So basically, the plan is to build a megastructure that
encompasses the whole star to capture its power output. This seems
impossible, yet it is the last hope for mankind before our planet becomes
drained.
The crew set out on their journey to Mercury – the closest planet to the
Sun and therefore is the base of this project. After enormous efforts
under severe conditions and pressure, both literally and figuratively, they
managed to fulfill the mission of building the largest and most ambitious
structure in the universe. This huge technological leap has made
unbelievable change in our energy budget, enabling the transition of
humankind from a planetary species to an interstellar species, as well as
ushering in an era of space exploration and expansion on a scale that we
can barely imagine.
The movie was not a Hollywood bomb with special visual effects, but
it got something to itself that I couldn’t take my eyes off. It has pictured
a potential scenario of our planet’s future, in which our descendants have
to deal with the consequences left behind by their ancestors’ wasteful
energy consumption, showing a message about the power of unity,
determination, and intelligence when the doomsday is waiting ahead.
Also, there’s a surprising fact that this movie was based on an actual
scientific hypothesis, in which the mentioned megastructure has an
official name – the Dyson Sphere. It is not just a fantasy made out of
imagination, but it can really happen, based on Physics alone, although
in a very far future. If human can build such a machine with the scope of
a star, the only limitation left will be our own imagination.
I am still filled with thrill and amazement even when the movie has
ended. It will remain on my top favorite list for a long time.

19. Describe a time that you have unusual meal

The meal I had was very unusual, and it happened completely by
accident. I was waiting for my flight at the airport when I suddenly heard
someone calling my name. When I turned around, I saw my high school
best friend whom I hadn't seen in almost 10 years. It was such a
wonderful surprise to see him after all this time, and we quickly caught
up on each other's lives.
Since we had some time to kill before our flights, my friend suggested
that we grab something to eat. We walked around the airport, and
eventually found a small restaurant that served local cuisine. I was
excited to try something new, and my friend ordered a dish that he said
was a local specialty.
When our food arrived, I was surprised to see that it was actually a
plate of insects. There were fried crickets, grasshoppers, and beetles. I
have never eaten insects before, and I was a bit hesitant at first. But my
friend encouraged me to try them, saying that they were delicious and
packed with protein.
I finally mustered up the courage to try one, and to my surprise, it was
actually quite tasty. It had a crunchy texture and a slightly nutty flavor. I
ended up eating more than I thought I would, and my friend and I had a
good laugh about the experience.
Overall, it was an unusual meal for me, and definitely not something I
would have ordered on my own. However, I'm glad that I tried it, and it's
something that I will remember for a long time. It was also a great way
to reconnect with my friend and make some new memories after all these
years.

20. Describe a complaint you made and you were satisfied with the result
I would like to share with you a time when I made a complaint and
was satisfied with the result.
It was a few months ago when I had ordered a product online, and it
arrived damaged.
I was disappointed and frustrated because I had paid a lot of money for
it. I decided to contact the customer service team and explain the
situation. They were very understanding and helpful, and they offered to
send me a replacement product free of charge. I was impressed by their
prompt and courteous response. As the saying goes, “The squeaky wheel
gets the grease,” and it’s important to speak up when we have a
legitimate complaint. It’s also important to remain polite and respectful
when making a complaint, as this can help to resolve the issue more
quickly and efficiently.
This experience taught me the importance of customer service and the
value of speaking up when something goes wrong. It’s important for
companies to listen to their customers and take their complaints
seriously, as this can help to build trust and loyalty.
In conclusion, I was satisfied with the result of my complaint because
the customer service team took my concerns seriously and offered a
prompt and satisfactory solution. It’s important to remember that making
a complaint can lead to positive change and improvement, both for
ourselves and for others.

21. Describe a problem you had when shopping online or in a store

Shopping is something I like. It is an absolute blockbuster for me. I
adore going shopping with my buddies tremendously. During the holiday
season, getting the items you desire might be challenging while they are
on sale. Online purchasing offers the greatest time savings.
Here, I will discuss last year’s Black Friday, when I went shopping
and had several difficulties. It was Black Friday season, as it was every
year, with sales and discounts at every store. I wanted to get some new
clothes and shoes.
I was looking for new menswear and purchased several items since the
reductions were too good to be true, so I had to take a risk. As for the
menswear, I discovered that the brand was providing a greater-than-
eighty-percent discount, so I rushed into the shop to get as much as
possible. This was when the narrative began to deteriorate. After
haggling at the store, I realized it was a grave error. Because I have
encountered several issues throughout my whole buying experience; first
of all, it was so packed that I needed help to pick and locate other
possibilities or even a pleasant one on the list. It was a catastrophe when
it came time to try on my outfits. Because it took an hour to enter the
fitting room, this was when I became quite upset. I never imagined that I
would have to wait an hour to pay my payment, yet there was a lengthy
line of individuals waiting for their billing to be completed. My fourth
and last difficulty was leaving the parking lot because someone had
parked exceptionally near my car.
Although I could get some decent clothing at a fantastic deal, I was
upset during the shopping trip. My purchasing experience was marred by
the wait for trials and paying. After seeing such a large crowd, I have
resolved never to buy during the holiday season again.

22.Describe a time when you needed to search for the information

The Internet has become part and parcel of our lives. Not a single day
goes without its use by the youngsters of today. I too use the internet for
many things. Every now and then I see what my friends and family have
posted on WhatsApp or Facebook. Here, I would like to talk about a time
when I searched ideas for a handmade gift on the internet. It was my
sister's birthday and I wanted to make something for her.
YouTube is a wonderful resource for videos of all types of creative
projects. I came across this 3D origami project. It looked fabulous. I
decided to make it. All it needed was 16 sheets of A4 size paper and a
paper cutting knife The instructions in the video were very easy. While I
was making it, it did not look so good, but as I went on, the shape
became clear and it started looking awesome.
When I presented it to my sister, she was stunned, because the swan
looked stunning. Everyone complimented me for that artwork. She has
kept that swan on her bedside table. So, the internet helped me in

23. Describe an occasion when you got lost (30+31)

A time when I got lost in a supermarket has been engraved in my
memory. My parents took me to Hanoi for the first time that summer
vacation and I was only 7. I used to live on the outskirts of Hanoi, and of
course, I couldn't visualize the hustle and bustle of city life, so I was
overwhelmed at first.
I visited many places like Hoan Kiem Lake, One Pillar Pagoda and Ho
Chi Minh mausoleum. But what really impressed me was the five-star
supermarket. I was bitten by a bug when I saw a huge supermarket full of
products on shelves. We went there at the weekend so the supermarket
was packed. I carefully strolled beside my parents; we passed many stalls
until we reached the toy one.
I was so engrossed in watching many beautiful dolls and puzzles that I
didn't realize that I lost track of my parents. I started to panic and felt a
wave of anxiety wash over me. After trying in vain to wander around to
find my parents, I started crying.
Some adults noticed, they even gave me some candies so that I could
chill out. Then they asked whether I could remember my parents' names
and phone numbers. Luckily, my dad had taught me thousands of times
before, so I could remember his number and read it out loud. A kind lady
quickly called, and my dad picked up the phone immediately. The lady
described the surroundings so that my parents could locate me. I was so
relieved to be reunited with them and grateful for the kindness of the
strangers who had helped me. This experience taught me the importance
of being aware of my surroundings and always staying close to my
family when exploring.

24. Describe an occasion when you got incorrect information

This reminds me of quite a hilarious trip in which I got lost because of
getting directed wrongly. It happened on a hiking trip with a group of
friends and we failed to get to our set out destination.
As none of us had ever been to the hiking area before and the 4G
signal was really poor for us to use Google maps as it was quite a remote
mountainous area, we relied on the guidance of a friend at home. He had
just had his trip there last week so we bet his memory must have still
been vivid. He was confident at first, really assertive of what he was
telling us to follow and affirmed that we’d need only an hour to get there.
However, after one and a half hour or so of walking and stopping here
and there to take photos, we didn't see any sign of the place we were
supposed to be there by that time. It felt like we were still marching
around the mountain foot. We would want to call back to the friend but,
unfortunately, there was no signal by that time. Some of us got a bit
frustrated, but most of all, we hadn't even realised we were lost because
we had been quite immersed yourself in the once-in-a-while opportunity
to be out in the fresh air. We didn't even feel the rush of getting to the
mountain top. After another 30 minutes of trying to find the way in vain,
we decided to head back home.
Later that day, we learned that my friend missed the point where we
had to take a turn, which we had noticed but skipped because he hadn't
mentioned anything about it. Nevertheless, tired as we may have been
because of too much walking, we still felt like we had a blast because we
joked and laughed a lot during and after the trip. We planned another trip
with a more well-prepared itinerary a week later.

25. Describe a time when you received money as a gift

When we are given anything as a present, it always makes us happy.
Furthermore, it demonstrates our value to the world. On many occasions,
people express their gratitude and affection for one another by
exchanging presents. I’ve also been the recipient of several presents on
numerous occasions. For my recent birthday, my older sister gave me
some cash.
She wasn’t sure what I wanted, so rather than forcing me to make a
decision, she gave me money so I could treat myself to anything I
wanted. On my birthday, she gave me an envelope with some money in
it, and that made the day extra memorable. The money inside was just
right for buying an Ipad Mini, which was a nice surprise. At that point, I
was so overcome with emotion that I began to cry. The next day, my
sister and I went shopping for me, and I ended up with a brand new Ipad
Mini. I felt the need to show off my new device to my friends and family,
so I snapped a photo of it and uploaded it to my social media site.
I appreciated my sister’s act of kindness toward me very much. His
unwavering devotion and encouragement have made me very fond of
her. Even if I don’t tell him what I need, she knows. The person who
gave me that gift is the most precious person in the world to me

26. Describe a time someone gave you a gift that you really wanted
Getting gifts is always a pleasant experience, but getting something
that you really want is an entirely different feeling. I remember the day
when my cousin gave me a gift that I had been longing for a long time. It
was a beautiful pink mechanical keyboard that I had my eyes on for
months. I couldn't believe it when I saw it in front of me. My cousin had
given it to me as a gift to congratulate me on my university entrance
exam.
Before receiving the gift, I had been saving up for the keyboard, but it
was still out of my budget. Little did I know that my cousin had been
keeping a close watch on me and my wishes. So, when my cousin found
out that I had been accepted into my dream university, he wasted no time
in surprising me with the keyboard. He picked me up from my house and
drove us to the store where we got it.
When I opened the package, I was over the moon with this sweet
surprise gift. It was the perfect present for me as I had been searching for
a new mechanical keyboard for a long time. I started using it
immediately, and it was extremely convenient and suited my needs
perfectly. I always feel comfortable using it when I work or study.
Moreover, it made me feel more productive and motivated. Every time I
typed on it, I remembered my cousin's kindness and how he went out of
his way to make me happy.
What made this gift special was the thought behind it. It was not just a
keyboard; it was a symbol of my cousin's affection and support for me.
He may come across as strict and cold sometimes, but he cares deeply
about me and my future. Receiving this gift made me feel contented and
proud.
In conclusion, receiving this gift was a heartwarming experience that I
will never forget. It showed me the importance of the people who love
and support me in my life, and how they can make a significant impact
on my happiness. I still use the keyboard to this day, and every time I do,
I think of my cousin and how grateful I am to have him in my life.

27. Why do people like to play different games

Well, there are a few that pop up in my head. Firstly, games provide
entertainment and amusement, serving as an escape from daily routines
and responsibilities. Therefore, people often claim that playing games
can be a form of relaxation and stress relief, allowing individuals to
unwind and have fun. Games also provide opportunities for social
interaction and bonding, as they can be enjoyed with friends, family, or
even strangers. Additionally, games often present challenges and puzzles
that stimulate the mind and promote cognitive development. They offer a
platform for individuals to test their skills, showcase their abilities, and
experience a sense of achievement. The diverse range of games available
caters to different interests, preferences, and skill levels, allowing
individuals to find enjoyment in various activities.

28. What kinds of games do children play these days

With the proliferation of modern technology and the widespread of the
Internet, electronic devices are become more prevalent than ever.
Therefore, online games are of the top choice when kids want to play
games. There are several online games are available online which make
children get indulged or even addicted. For example, some online games
require teamwork such as league of legend, Pubg are most popular among
others. I believe this phenomenon leads to negative impacts on both
mental and physical health in kids.

29.Do boys and girls play different games

Yes, especially between the ages of 5 to 8, you can see distinct
differences. Boys tend to play more contact sports or physical games.
Even if they prefer indoor games, they’ll find a way to make it seem like
a show of force or a more action-packed game. On the other hand, girls
in the 5 to 8 age range often play with dolls, and there’s a lot of
customization involved, like with Barbie dolls. However, as they get
older, their interests tend to become more similar.

30. How do people react when they get lost

Individuals with different personalities have various reactions when
they deal with the situation. For example, someone who is confident and
independent may be more likely to keep a cool head and try to find their
way back, while someone who is more timid may become overwhelmed
and start to panic. Plus, the context and situation also can be important
factors. A person appears to be able to keep calm when they lose their
sense of direction in a familiar place rather than in a strange one.

31. Why do some people have a good sense of direction

I can think of two main reasons why some people are good at orienting
direction. First, these people are experienced. They become skilled
navigators after living in a certain place for a long time, or just having a
chance to visit the same places frequently. The second reason is that
some people have better cognitive mapping than others. They can use
landmarks and other visual cues to orient themselves.

32. Do you think that children should be taught to read paper maps at school

33. Why do you think some people have better memory thanothers
The reasons why some people have better memory than others are
multifaceted and can vary from person to person. However, some factors
that may contribute to differences in memory ability include genetics,
lifestyle choices, and environmental factors. First of all, genetics play a
role in determining memory capacity. Studies have shown that genes can
influence different aspects of memory, including verbal and spatial
memory. Some individuals may inherit genetic variations that enhance
their memory abilities, while others may inherit genetic variations that
impair their memory function. Lifestyle choices can also affect memory
function. For example, research has shown that chronic stress, lack of
sleep, and poor nutrition can impair memory function over time. In
contrast, engaging in regular exercise, maintaining a healthy diet, and
getting adequate sleep can support healthy brain function and improve
memory. Finally, environmental factors such as education, occupation,
and social engagement influence memory function a lot. Research has
shown that individuals who engage in mentally stimulating activities,
such as reading, writing, and playing games, have better memory function
in later life. Additionally, individuals who have high levels of social
engagement and support may have better memory function due to
reduced stress and improved mental well-being.

34. In what situations is it important to remember information very well

I think there are lots of such situations but I would divide all of them
into two main groups. The first group is all kinds of situations in which
you need to be accurate just because you have no right to make a
mistake. I mean such situations as taking an exam or just being tested on
information if you are a student, making a diagnosis if you are a doctor
or vet, or navigating a plane if you are a pilot. In all these cases you have
to be able to recall all relevant details, especially if you are alone and
have no access to anyone or anything. And the second group is all those
situations in which you just want to impress other people in order to gain
a competitive advantage. For example, when you want to make a more
lively and engaging presentation without rummaging through pages of
notes and this way build your reputation as an expert in your field.

35. How can people improve their memory

36. Why is it difficult for some people to remember things

Well, I guess it may be so for a score of reasons. If not to consider age-
related memory loss and memory-impairing illnesses such as Alzheimer's
disease but focus on memory problems typical for healthy people, I think
that one of the most common reasons for forgetfulness is that people are
just absentminded and don't pay close enough attention to the things that
happen to them. One more reason I can name is emotional disorders such
as stress, anxiety or depression and, as a result, sleep disorders that make
people take certain medications which can cause forgetfulness and
confusion. What else? Well, this may happen because of some kind of
vitamin deficiency, and, of course, because of a lack of storage space in
the brain as brains of some people are overloaded with tons of
information.

37. What are some effects of climate change

38. What should we do to solve this problem

Well, there can be numerous solutions that help mitigate this issue. On
a global scale, governments and businesses should invest in technologies
that can harness energy from alternative renewable sources, switching
from burning fossil fuels, which tends to emit a huge amount of heat-
trapping gases, to solar energy or biomasses.
On an individual level, people can make simple changes in their daily
lives, such as driving less or planting more trees. These solutions, albeit
small, can make a big difference if adopted by a large number of
individuals.

39. Are boys and girls interested in the same sport

In my opinion, boys and girls are not adept at the same sports. Because
of the different between their physically demanding. Boys had a
tendency to practice strenuous exercises and prefer extreme sports such
as bungee jumping or surfing. In contrast, girls enjoy light tranings like
brisk walk, the exercises require lower physically demanding.

40. Do Vietnamese people like to play indoor sports or outdoor sports

It depends greatly on how old a person is really. To support my claim,
small kids are likely to be into indoor games like indoor football or
swimming whereas adults tend to derive more pleasure from outdoor
sports activities such as football or volleyball. This is due to the fact that
today parents are more protective of their children so they encourage
them to take part in indoor sports to protect their children from bad
injuries or serious accidents.
On the other hand, adults would love the social interaction and team
spirit from sports matches played outside the house, particularly after a
stressful week of hard work.

41. What do you think are some of the differences between working
outdoors compared to working in an office
If you’re always indoors then you’ll get weak and sick easier; whereas
if you work outside then you’re getting fresh air sunshine, which are two
things that everyone needs to stay healthy. If you’re working outdoors,
then you’ll probably be much more physically fit and a whole lot
stronger than if you’re sitting at your desk all day. Of course, if you don’t
have a balanced life then you’re bound to have complications, and if you
don’t spend at least a few hours on your computer every day you might
not be also to sleep at night.

42. Do you think younger people engage more in outdoor activities

compared to order people

43. Do you think we pollute more now than we did fifty years ago
Well, yes, overall. I’d say, though, that richer countries pollute less
themselves but export their pollution elsewhere, by which I mean that
they consume foreign product that have a large carbon footprint. It has
become fashionable to be green in wealthier nations, especially Western
ones, so people make an effort to cycle to work and recycle their waste.
However, it’s quite a shallow attempt at being green, in my opinion,
because they still live in big houses using lots of energy and go on
holidays abroad, leaving a trail of pollution in their wake.

44. Is there much more environmetal damage now than in the past
Yes, there has certainly been an increase in environmental pollution
over time. There has been a significant increase in pollution and waste
production due to the industrialization of civilization and the expansion
of international trade. The ecosystem has suffered as a result, leading to
issues like climate change, deforestation, and water shortages.
45. Do you think the city is cleaner or dirtier than the countryside
Of course, the cities are more polluted and dirtier than the country.
There are many reasons for that, but probably the main one is the high
population and the concentration of industry in the cities. Many people
moving to cities means high demand for jobs, products, and services, and
making all of those requires a ton of resources and energy to create. That
causes pollution.
The countryside is cleaner mainly because there are fewer people, less
industry, and less transportation over there. What's more, people in the
countryside tend to care more about the environment and their
surroundings, while people in cities tend to be a bit more selfish and care
mostly about themselves, carrying on with their lives.

46. What effects does pollution have on the environment

47. Do you think the wind has any effect on pollution

The wind blowing can bring in a lot of air pollution from other areas of
a country or even from another country. A lot of cities move out their
manufacturing and industry outside of the larger cities, but then once the
wind blows, it brings back all that pollution right back into the cities.
In areas that have a dry climate, are near a desert, or are being
desertified because of logging or other natural reasons, the wind can blow
and bring up a lot of dust and sand particles. If the wind is powerful
enough, it can carry those particles many kilometers away and cause sand
or dust pollution in cities or other areas.
